You make some good points. I guess my big gripe is the extremely lame attempt to drag the Perry campaign into the whole controversy, as if it were germane to anything, which it’s not, even if it was the “whistle blower”, which it now appears not to have been.
But it’s irrelevant. The Obama Thugs and their Media Thugs would have uncovered all this in any event... it really is back there, as a set of bogus allegations.
I just think it was extremely unpresidential for Cain to try to somehow pin this on Perry.

I agree, I wish he hadn’t done that, and I wish he’d stayed above all of that. On the other hand, remember how irritating it was when Bush never addressed any of the allegations against him? It’s so damned if you do and damned if you don’t (all of this to say, I have no good answer). I get exactly what you mean. I wish we fought with contestants who fought fair.
