And every single, solitary minimum wage alien would qualify for the earned income credit, aka federal welfare. No thanks.

And who is your POTUS Republican candidate that you favor of the ones running now?

My sentiments exactly!

You can’t really be that dense, so we must have a misunderstanding somewhere.

Perry would solve the illegal problem by giving them legal “access” to the U.S. to work. The number given such access could then be controlled, provided the border is properly policed. People here illegally, would still be identified and sent home.

This is not anything like amnesty.

am·nes·ty   /ˈæmnəsti/ Show Spelled [am-nuh-stee]

Show IPA noun, plural -ties,verb, -tied, -ty·ing.noun

  1. a general pardon for offenses, especially political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction.

  2. Law. an act of forgiveness for past offenses, especially to a class of persons as a whole.

  3. a forgetting or overlooking of any past offense. verb (used with object)

  4. to grant amnesty to; pardon.

The number of those receiving amnesty is not what defines the term.
If the government says that people who have broken a certain law, have not been apprehended, and if the law violators perform certain acts, the specific crime they committed will go away; that is amnesty. It has nothing to do with citizenship.
Governor Perry’s proposal is amnesty. It will forgive a criminal act committed by people who have not been apprehended or convicted. Pure and simple.

Here’s a clue. You can address your same, repetitive questions to more than one person at a time. That will save time, space, energy, etc.
I haven’t settled on anyone yet. I see positives and negatives in all of them. I will say that mittens and huntsman are out. No chance there.

Well there would be the flat tax also. Your right a single male (no fams allowed) would probably not have to pay the Income tax, but they would be VERY easy to TRACK if they didn’t leave at the end of their time.

However for ANY of this to work the border has to be secure and the illegals “encourage” to leave. I would support a Law that made hiring an illegal a felony with forfeiture of business, jail time and fine. Maybe THAT would get the attention of these people that encourage the breaking of Federal immigration Law.

No. The courts have no such authority if we don’t let them.

I don’t see in the Constitution where the taxpayers are compelled to provide to foreigners.

i believe it originated from forbes magazine and perry sources.

I believe unsubstantiated finger-pointing is downright amateurish.

The only way I would ever consider Perry as a candidate I could support, is if all the existing immigration laws are repealed by Congress and open immigration is reinstated.

Good luck with that.

Even the official Fox undertaker, Charles Krauthammer, and O'reilly himself begin every discussion or comment about illegal aliens with ...since they are going to remain in the US anyway..."

With imbeciles like that looking out for the best interests of the American citizens, who needs democrats?

With the proper controls (to guarantee illegals do not take jobs from American citizens), I would have no problem at all with another Bracero program. No anchor babies, no tapping US taxpayers, go home when done.

The most conservative candidate. After that, anyone except Romney.

I'd like to support Perry, but for this issue.

I believe that the only way to get a handle on the problem will be a bit draconian simply because we have allowed the problem of illegals to get so large.
First, secure the border, then;
No bennies or medical care of any sort. No schooling, no housing, no welfare, no work, no driver’s licenses or state ID cards, no anchor baby nonsense, no marrying a legal resident or citizen, nothing, nada, zip, zilch, zero.
If a bracero type program were implemented, I would not favor them paying SS or income tax because then they’d be back sucking on the public teat. They’d get all of their income tax back and then some, anyway.
I’m with you on hammering any business that hires illegals. We would need some sort of E-verify system though to protect the employers.

“I disagree with the concept that somehow or another we’re going to pack up 10, to 12, to 15 million people and ship them back to the country of origin. That’s not going to happen,”

I disagree with this statement. And I'm really tired of hearing it.

We can begin deportations and continue deportations until the job is done. We could also support their self-deportation by refusing them ALL services - quit giving illegals a reason to stay.

I also get quite irritated by a public servant telling me, the taxpayer, that "that's not going happen"

To be fair, Gov. Perry is not the only politico spewing this sort of blather.
