I owe Politico a debt of gratitude.

With Palin out of the picture, I had no dog in this hunt.

The reason I was for Palin was because she is not one of the GOP/RINO insiders, which is why they hate her so much.

Then they went after Cain.

And I sent Cain my first hundred bucks.

Now I have a dog in the hunt, and the more they attack him the stronger my conviction becomes.

The enemy of my enemy is my candidate.®

IMHO...

There are many people who smoke and they form a large group that has a comraderie. They all have had their freedom trampled on by a disgusting political display which purported to be about the dangers of tobacco use but it obviously was not or tobacco would have been banned altogether. Especially if it was indeed as bad as many politicians say it is. Smokers are villified, treated as outcasts. For doing something that has been done for hundreds of years.

In truth, the whole anti-smoking campaign is a ruse employed by politicians to usurp more political power while increasing revenue to the government. The last thing politicians and the medical industry want is for people to stop smoking. And in a disgusting display of the worst of human nature, they all join in the villification like some adult version of Lord of the Flies.

The smoker video simply expressed solidarity with those who want a corner of their life that the government is not in.

Wow! Say what you will about Kissinger, but he spotted an important leadership differential between Cain and the usual run of candidates. The ones who want to know what to say on the Sunday shows don’t deserve my vote. Cain, however, has that intangible “something” that sets the real leaders apart. That gets my attention.

Sounds like this man is not just running for president, he’s planning to be president.

Henry Kissinger Digs Cain’s ‘Brilliant’ 'Smoking' Video

Yes, but See-BS's Bob Schieffer didn't. :-P

This deserves a bump:

Kissinger was impressed by Cain’s questions. “He told him that he meets with any candidate who wants to get his views. But he told Mr. Cain that most come in and ask about what they should say on the Sunday shows. Mr. Cain, he pointed out, asked what he should do when he is president — a different kind of approach for this kind of meeting.”

Herman Cain didn't miss the opportunity to meet with the man who went to China in 1972, itself a brilliant move.

Rush cites Albright to Scarborough that Herman didn't call her because "I'm the wrong gender."

Rush says, no, it's because she's Madeleine Albright.

I ask do we think Cain the defender of Israel and opponent of Iran is not aware that Albright studied under Zbigniew Brzezinski who in 2004 co-authored with Robert Gates the CFR paper Iran: Time for a New Direction--

Brzezinski, the Carter architect of the Shah's betrayal and the Ayatollah's empowerment joins with the soon-to-be Bush-Obama SecDef to now play nice with the only nation-state embodying the Seventh Century threat to Western Civilization.

Dr. Kissinger is reviled by the Left. But Herman Cain knows to talk with those very few who have been at the center of the geostrategic process.

The other candidates wanted some coaching for the cameras.

Herman Cain wants wisdom to make history.

Rich white women are likely still looking to slander a Black Politician working hard to establish a name for himself. A Black Man working his ass off to succeed in White majority America is being falsely accused by white guys looking to make a name for themselves. Where is Maxine Waters, Rangel, Jesse Jackson, Farrakhan, Sharption and the rest of the Congressional Bkack Causcus on this ? WHy dont they help defend him and help prove that he’s being falsely accused by whites, possibly even due to their racial prejudices. It is a hard one. I cant figure it out.

You know Kissinger was not a fan of Reagan's foreign policy, nor did the real conservatives of his day like him all that much.

That smoking video is going to go down as one of the best campaign commercials of all time. What seemed “weird” at first, is sheer marketing genius. That drag on the cigarette screams “adults are ready to take over”; followed by Cain’s profile grin...

Awesome.

This was the funniest political news I’ve seen in a while. Kissinger must have developed a weird sense of humor when I wasn’t looking, because Cain—along with the rest of the Republican presidential field other than Romney—are worlds apart from his and Richard Nixon’s intensely cerebral and cautious, though at the same time hard-edged, moderate Republicanism.

It’s not that Nixon and Kissinger would’ve liked Mitt Romney; indeed, Nixon had the deepest disdain for Mitt’s similarly lightweight father, George Romney, governor of Michigan and a Republican presidential rival back in the day. But Nixon and Kissinger in his heart of hearts, cautious by nature, would settle on Mitt in this field, viewing all the others as loonies.

And that’s what convinces me that Kissinger is just having some fun here, even though he and Nixon never had much of a fun side.
