Herman Cain’s Top Iowa Organizers: ‘The Story Has Made Some People Angry’
ABC News ^ | 11.4.2011 | staff

URBANDALE, Iowa — Herman Cain’s Iowa state director thumbed through a stack of supporter sign-up forms at the campaign’s headquarters here, telling ABC News that the sexual harassment allegations that have rocked the Cain campaign this week have actually been a “catalyst” in this state.

Larry Tuel, who runs Cain’s campaign in Iowa, said that the endless stream of news stories on Cain’s alleged misbehavior toward women have attracted new supporters and emboldened existing ones.

“The story has made some people angry,” Tuel said in an interview on Thursday. “We think that people want to show their support for Mr. Cain. I think the average Iowan that’s supporting Mr. Cain or any candidate sees through this story, sees that there is nothing to it and that they’re out in droves to support Mr. Cain.”

Cain has a very strong Independent and Conservative following. He is even snagging some moderate Democrats (if such a thing exists - I guess they used to be called blue dog).

I don’t see Newt being able to pull in votes from all those groups, we need the independent vote.

Don't know, but I think that Republicans should keep the MSM on the run.

Whenever a reporter asks a question on live TV the Pubbie should not answer the question, but respond with: Why, Tom, have you and {news organization} not aired the scandal of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms supplying thousands of assault weapons to Mexican narcotics gangs? Or some similar question about a critical DemoRat scandal.

Republicans and Conservatives must use every opportunity to brand the MSM as liars by omission AND commission, it won't take much public pressure to push the Socialist Rat/MSM over the edge of the cliff.

The real take-away from this is that many peoples’ eyes have been opened, and they will no longer fall for breathless headlines without asking, “ok, what’s the REAL story?”

This is the 100% truth. Well said.

Romney’s expected to win NH by 20+. It’d be a complete disaster for Romney if Cain gets within single digits of him in NH. Maybe even low double digits. Maybe even the end.

" I think people feel that Herman is sincere and trustworthy. Something that has been lost in politics for a long, long time. " ....

but, but, but, we are told he's not experienced... sarcasm....

The last time I looked, the US Constitution only requirements are, he must be of 35 years of age, and a Natural born citizen.
Many people are tired of this crap, and tired of crusty old politicians like Mitt Romney and Rickey Ricardo Perry.

‘If Cain would have apologized he would have been done.

The fact that he got back in their faces and actually defended himself is what saved him.’

I wish this could be posted several million times all over the Net. It’s so simple and true, yet so few GOPers get it. It was George Allen’s neverending, increasingly abject apologies for ‘macaca’ that sank him. If he had come out of the gate swinging, w something like, ‘It is not, and has never been, a racist slur. You reporters need to stop being so racist yourself, that you see racism where none exists. Grow up and start reporting real news, instead of trying to manufacture racial divisiveness’, the creepy perv Webb would never have been a senator.

Likewise, one of the few things McCain did right was ridicule the press. He sang a few bars of ‘Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran’, and the MSM started into their typical apoplectic, hysterical overkill mode. He told them it was a ‘joke’, and where was their sense of humor, get over themselves already and act like grownups, and they slunk off like whipped puppies.

Thank goodness at least Cain gets it. If only more Republicans did.

After looking carefully at his record, I have decided that Herman Cain got where he is today thru affirmative action.

He has no real experience in foreign relations or decision making policies at all.

But wait! What about the rock at his family’s hunting lodge that had Anita Hill in a negligee painted on it? :-)

If Newt isn’t on the ticket (I prefer Paul Ryan, Allen West or somebody with major foreign policy cred) I could see him as chief of staff, and he’d probably be pretty good.

This is the real damage of affirmative action. It makes it possible for someone like you to actually conclude that a successful millionaire CEO is really a bum because of his skin color. Barftastic!

Your ignorance of Herman Cain is total. Rather then cling to your emotion based feelings about him learn even the most basic fact before wasting our time

If Cain would have apologized he would have been done. The fact that he got back in their faces and actually defended himself is what saved him.

This is how to destroy the MSM. Their "power" is only that people give them power to be the arbiters of all things. If anyone stands up to them, and basically tells them to F*($ Off, they've got nothing.

As an added bonus, people free of the MSM are not then owned by the MSM. Consider that little video the L.A.Times has of Obama dining with a terrorist. On the one hand it looks like the LA Times is doing Obama a favor by withholding the video; and they are. On the other hand, this video movies them a bargaining chip to hold over Obama. If they release it, they can damage him. They know it. He knows it. "Pull" is the "currency" of the Left.

He has a BA in mathematics, an MA in computer science and was a ballistics analyst for the Navy. Every company this man worked for he rose straight to the top. He isn’t affirmative action anything you racist dolt.

After looking carefully at his record

When you start your post with a lie, you lose the debate. You cannot look at his record and make the conclusion you do. Glad you love your candidate of choice, lying about the other candidates does not help them How about instead of lying about Cain you try making a case FOR your candidate?
