EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Paul Ryan has nothing but praise for Romney plan
Washington comPOST ^ | 11/4/11 | J Rubin

Posted on 11/06/2011 3:37:41 PM PST by Recovering_Democrat

I spoke with Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) by phone a short time ago after the details of Mitt Romney’s spending and entitlement reform plan were released. It is fair to say that the often optimistic and cheery Ryan was downright effusive about the contents of the plan.

Ryan told me, “Look at what he put out! This is a great development. It shows that the elusive adult conversation is taking place, but all on one side.” He ticked off the proposals including block-granting, cutting the federal workforce and entitlement reform. He said, “This tracks perfectly with the House budget.” He was careful not to forget the other GOP candidates, adding that “Romney and others are serious” about real fiscal reform.

.... no Mormans.... period...

Question for the MSM pundits... "What is Mitt's secret name for his spouse to call her up from the grave so she can enter heaven?....

Odd question but it is right at the heart of the LDS theology....

Paul Ryan is a practicing Roman Catholic as is Newt Gingrich. The fact that the man praised ideas from a campaign because an “adult conversation has now surfaced” mirrors the very words of Newt and Cain on their “Lincoln/Douglas” debate. Even Steve King mentioned that all the good ideas are coming from the Republican side.

Don’t underestimate the spin. Limbaugh has even pointed out some of the great ideas forthcoming from folks like Perry. The candidates want the private sector to squelch central planning and to let the states be the experimental incubators for reform of the system. Sounds good to me...

Let’s have a discussion and weigh the merits! The bunker mentality of the Dems is “more government taxes and spending” and both Cain and Gingrich took great pains to totally deflate that idea if you watched their “debate.”

Just because he likes Mitt’s plan does not mean that he is endorsing him for President. As much as Jenny and the other Mittwits try to make this look like an endorsement, it is not.

Is Mitt Romney your candidate?

I have no candidate.

I am essentially undecided (except I won’t vote for Paul or Huntsman unless they are the nominee) in my primary...and early one, January 31.

Here is my problem: all of our candidates have flaws. All of them (even the two aforementioned) are better than Hussein.

Who is your candidate?

Indeed I watched the debate, and I have commented on it on different threads here today. I’ve watched in dismay for sixty years what you call Democrats and I call Communists have done to our precious Constitutional Republic. No one wanted to hear it. It jarred them from their comfort zone. Now we have an odious kettle of fish on our hands, and it has never been more important that the right people take over.

I don’t listen to Rush Limbaugh. I have a clear view of what is going on, and I believe Herman Cain is the only man for the job today. Apparently a lot of other people do, too, so maybe if we are lucky, he will be our next president. May God protect him from any harm.

Paul Ryan has been tapped by the party to fundraise for the nominee, whoever it is. He is not endorsing anyone.

Source: Paul Ryan's Second Act

Each time he says something about the candidates or their proposals there's a pile-on attack against Ryan... RINO! RINO! RINO! It's asinine.

Agreed! Cain had high praise for him and even Newt liked his plan but would give those who wish a chance to accelerate a turnaround rather than stay in the current system. Ryan in a good guy to have crunching numbers...

Unfortunately my candidate is a non-candidate as she decided not to run. So I am leaning toward Cain.

>>> Okay, is Paul a RINO?

Everybody is a RINO. No exceptions. If not today, then tomorrow.

Except us of course. Aren’t we special.

PLENTY of reasons exist to oppose Romney. Religion? No. He hasn’t, as far as can be demonstrated brought his bizarre theology into his public work, can it?
