In his only public appearance of the day, Cain told Kimmel during the late-night interview that he got angry and disgusted as he watched Bialek and Allred. He said his wife didn't watch it but that he called her immediately afterward.

My wife and I both heard Cain say that his wife did watch it when we watched it live.

CAIN: My wife is in Atlanta. We were in San Francisco because I had a speech at noon. This press conference came on at 10:30 and my wife did watch it and I called her immediately afterwards. As I was sitting there, I had a few of my staff members there with me, and I'm sitting here and they're watching me and they could see the steam coming out of my ears. And the feelings that you have when you know that all of this is totally fabricated and you go from anger then you go — you get disgusted, you try to control yourself to make sure you watch this thing all the way through it. Amazingly, Polutico gets it right.

The Polutico got it right comment is mine and should have been up with the first part on my comment before the Polutico snip.

She could have sexually harassed him. She was looking for a job and could have grabbed his crotch, and he said no. It has happened a kazillion times. But the story would be at least as credible as hers. Undocumented accusations are impossible to disprove.

WHY the HECK would they claim that Mrs Cain did not watch it?

I saw his interview last night— LOVED IT!

Kimmel, I thought, did a great job...and the crowd seemed to LOVE HERMAN!

It may not matter.

Cain is listing with women voters and if 10% defect, he can’t win.

It doesn’t matter how well he does today if there is the perception he is anti-woman.

With female voters making up 53% of the population, that makes a general election campaign very difficult and most women are more liberal than men.

They are trend thinkers, sheeple if you will.

They are terribly easy to manipulate and lead.

Sadly, they fit right in with most of the men in this country.

Critical thinking is gone, we have been made into cattle.

The future of America is in the crapper.

It DOES matter.

We have a conservative actually fighting back. He is not going to take this lying down and shrivel away like he is supposed to.

Women will not automatically believe the accuser

Mounting evidence that the camel jockeys at Fox News have an agenda against him as well, as many here are also noticing. No serious editor misses that, especially since it was one of the key questions asked by Kimmel.

In 1995 or 96, we went to DirecTV just because our cable provider was not carrying Fox News. I suppose we were all to thrilled to have a national news service that was heads above the MSM that at the time it was OK. Is it we who are becoming so very much aware or is it that Fox News is sliding off the edge?

Whenever there is a crisis, outside observers can always note that if it’s a Democrat, they circle the wagons for their fellow accused. If it’s a Republican, they head for the hills. Republicans know nothing of loyalty.

What strikes me about her press conference is the great detail she had about the conversation. Like it happened just a couple of days ago. It was 14 years ago, how could she remember it in that detail? Even major events in my life, that happened more recent than her 14 years I can't recollect what words were spoken, without generalizing.

The issue is idiotic. It is not sexual harassment even if the act did occur. Cain was not her superior, they were just two people in a car.

Cain should take a page from Obama’s book. When the Rev. Wright stuff began to stick, Obama took some time off and wrote a sanctimonious speech about race in America which he gave on national tv. That will also give Cain the opportunity to throw any white family members/friends and other inconvenient types under the bus. </sarc>

I’m still sort of mad at Cain. He’s playing catch-up, they’ve put him on the defensive and he could have avoided all this by early on in his campaign disclosing that this would probably be brought up. Instead he claims “no skeletons” in his closet.

I like Cain better than any of the others, but there’s a naivete in not thinking this would be brought up. Early on in the 2008 campaign I felt like Palin exhibited the same sort of naivete...but she learned her lesson (it’s all gotcha politics), just a little too late.

and a poll number has never changed in history?

and by the way, who cares? Every winning Republican president still has a deficit among women and lead among men. It is designed that way, as the left always goes after abortion and a number of other issues to swing women back to the Democrats.

Yea, exactly. Anyway he may be guilty of cheating on his wife at the most, and that is not proven.
But why all the attention to his dating techniques?/S

The American people elected Barack Obama to the Presidency because they were sick and tired of racism.

Their intentions were good, but they were woefully misguided.

In 2012 they will elect Herman Cain to the Presidency because they are sick and tired of decadence, corruption, indecency, the destruction of America and its economy, and the thugs who exploit America from their gang headquarters in Washington.

This time their intentions are good, and their behavior is wise.
