My wife and I both heard Cain say that his wife did watch it when we watched it live.

CAIN: My wife is in Atlanta. We were in San Francisco because I had a speech at noon. This press conference came on at 10:30 and my wife did watch it and I called her immediately afterwards. As I was sitting there, I had a few of my staff members there with me, and I'm sitting here and they're watching me and they could see the steam coming out of my ears. And the feelings that you have when you know that all of this is totally fabricated and you go from anger then you go — you get disgusted, you try to control yourself to make sure you watch this thing all the way through it. Amazingly, Polutico gets it right.

She could have sexually harassed him. She was looking for a job and could have grabbed his crotch, and he said no. It has happened a kazillion times. But the story would be at least as credible as hers. Undocumented accusations are impossible to disprove.

WHY the HECK would they claim that Mrs Cain did not watch it?

I saw his interview last night— LOVED IT!

Kimmel, I thought, did a great job...and the crowd seemed to LOVE HERMAN!

What strikes me about her press conference is the great detail she had about the conversation. Like it happened just a couple of days ago. It was 14 years ago, how could she remember it in that detail? Even major events in my life, that happened more recent than her 14 years I can't recollect what words were spoken, without generalizing.

The issue is idiotic. It is not sexual harassment even if the act did occur. Cain was not her superior, they were just two people in a car.

I’m still sort of mad at Cain. He’s playing catch-up, they’ve put him on the defensive and he could have avoided all this by early on in his campaign disclosing that this would probably be brought up. Instead he claims “no skeletons” in his closet.

I like Cain better than any of the others, but there’s a naivete in not thinking this would be brought up. Early on in the 2008 campaign I felt like Palin exhibited the same sort of naivete...but she learned her lesson (it’s all gotcha politics), just a little too late.

The American people elected Barack Obama to the Presidency because they were sick and tired of racism.

Their intentions were good, but they were woefully misguided.

In 2012 they will elect Herman Cain to the Presidency because they are sick and tired of decadence, corruption, indecency, the destruction of America and its economy, and the thugs who exploit America from their gang headquarters in Washington.

This time their intentions are good, and their behavior is wise.

He addressed the issue head on. He addressed it strongly. He didn’t back off one bit. I am a service man who meets many people. I am outspoken and I joke. If I ran for office many women (and possibly men ) could accuse me of sexually harassment because not all jokes work and sometimes they aren’t perceived as funny.

IF this is totally fabricated, then it is a story as old and as vile as racism and racial discrimination itself! And it will not play well in an America that is sick to death of racism, injustice, and racial discrimination.

Quotes from the article:

“He deserves a fair chance. But that doesn't mean he gets a pass. These are not anonymous allegations anymore unfortunately,” said New Hampshire conservative activist Jennifer Horn, who last week had condemned media coverage of the allegations against Cain. “He does need to take another step and answer a few more questions.”

“Oh,” exclaimed South Carolina GOP Chairman Chad Connelly said when told details from Bialek’s news conference. He said character issues matter in a state where the last governor tearfully confessed an affair and the current governor faced unproven allegations from two men that she had affairs. “Our voters care about moral attitude,” Connelly said. “Character does matter.”

I heard the woman describe the assault... it cannot physically happen the way that she described... especially if sitting in a car... think about it, not pornographically, but mechanically, one move would prohibit. Also, I believe that if a man were to assault a woman, he would do one or the other but not both actions; grabbing her genitals while pushing her head down his crotch. Just doesn’t add up...

Does Bialek have any more corroboration about her claim that Larry Sinclair did about his back in '08?

No.

Trotting out with Gloria Allred is what the dims do when they need to throw horse crap at a wall and see what sticks. Yes the word trotting is what came to mind when the old mares pranced out.

I watched Cain on Kimmel and I think Cain handled it very well. I want him to come on even stronger, attack the media head on and use the words “To Kill a Mockingbird”, but so far, he has struck exactly the right note, in my opinion.
