Herman Cain: Accuser Sharon Bialek is a Liar
ABC News ^ | 11-8-11 | Huma Khan

Herman Cain today said that Sharon Bialek, the first woman to publicly accuse the GOP presidential candidate of sexual harassment, is a liar and that he never acted inappropriately with her.

“I have had nothing but the utmost respect for any and all women as well as those who have worked under my leadership,” Cain told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl in the ABC News/Yahoo Newsmakers interview. “I can categorically say I have never acted inappropriately with anyone, period. And as far as these latest charges… I reject all of those.”

Cain said the charges are “baseless” and “bogus” and that the accusations are an attempt from his opponents to derail his candidacy.

“When I first saw her [Bialek]… I didn’t even recognize her,” Cain said.

This is Cain’s only media appearance today before his scheduled press conference later, where he will respond to new allegations of sexual harassment.

I didn’t say it’s a crime, nobody goes to jail or even sued. It’s employment, and it doesn’t have to be a crime to get chewed on by HR. One incident will do. One. Several of these hair-trigger incidents are a pattern, and that’s why my remark about the unemployment line.

Let me put it another way. Let’s say I’m young, single and on the make, I asked five women out per year (I said my company is large), and four liked it. The fifth said no, and then cried to HR promptly. That’s one HR incident per year. Do that for five years and I’m toast. (with the thousands of people in my company, 25 ask-outs in 5 years is not horrible, it’s one every 2-3 months)

Look, I am not a member of the He-Man Woman Hater’s Club, I’m just stating a fact about the large corporate atmosphere out here. I am glad to hear yours is better than mine.

Sorry, I just looked at #81 and I DID say it was a crime. I was in hyperbole mode, and I apologize for calling you a liar!

I think it is over for Herman Cain simply because the MSM will not let him talk about and will not themselves talk about anything but the BS woman stuff for so long as he is in the contest. He was/is my preferred candidate. I only hope that if he is maimed here that a reliable conservative of some sort fills his place. I don’t think the MSM and kenyan ops can do the same thing to another candidate though they will take a shot at it. Perhaps the evolving plan is to paint Republicans and especially conservatives all as sex perverts as a necessary part of the makeup of the conservative character. That sort of campaign doesn’t work against the left because it is expected of them and is a badge of honor and celebrity for them.

media can go to H___

I saw Mr. Cain today at his press conference and to me he was credible, honest, to the point and didn’t hesitate to claim his innocence. That’s good enough for me. It’s a he said, she said and so I believe him.
