Interesting since it’s just outside Ithaca, NY, that one FReeper calls ‘The City of Evil.’
The city just elected a new mayor: a 24 year old democratic kid who looks like he's playing "dress up as Obama for Halloween" and who had a red star on his campaign posters.
His republican opponent ran on the "why Ithaca is ready for a gay republican mayor" platform. She got about 8% of the vote.
Ithaca REMAINS the City of Evil.

I know two town clerks in Oswego County who resigned over this issue. They would not issue same sex marriage licenses. Both are Christians.
