Clint Eastwood talks politics: Who's the Democrat he voted for? (Read the Article...He's a Cain Fan)
LA Times ^ | 8 November 2011 | Patrick Goldstein

When it comes to the current crop of Republican presidential candidates, if Eastwood is enthusiastic about anyone, it’s Herman Cain. “I love Cain’s story,” he says. “He’s a guy who came from nowhere and did well, obviously against heavy odds. He’s a doer and a straight-talker, which I don’t see enough of from either party.”

Don’t ever trust a democrat to try to determine who the republican candidate will be?

Concerning Cain, I think he’s done. The democrats have been very effective with shredding Cain, and, one bimbo eruption would have been suspicious, but a multitude of them is pretty hard to argue against.

Only a democrat could survive a barrage of bad news and disclosures from his past, but, being a republican, it’s doubtful that the “doubts” could be erased from the minds of conservatives.

WE the People are the ones who control this....If we ALLOW Cain to be run out by the establishment elite and the MSM then we deserve Obama....

We have screamed for decades for public servants who would stand up to the media, not play their game, fight the establishment, have backbone, etc etc....

If we abandon the man who rises up to those cries then we are no better than all the spineless asshats we have bitched about for all these years...

None of this interview is that surprising. Clint is well known for his pro-choice views. He made Sondra Locke get at least one abortion. Gay marriage? I thought he wouldn’t care one way or the other. Fiscal conservative/pro-military? Absolutely. The only “surprise” is his support for Jerry Brown. For a guy who lived in CA in the ‘70s he had to know what a loser this guy is. Maybe they were friends.

I guess you aren't old enough to know who Reagan Democrats were from 1980 and 1984.

We need them.

Concerning Cain, I think he’s done.

Really? Explain his poll numbers and record-shattering fund raising during the past week.

"Concerning Cain, I think he’s done."

Not hardly. In fact, he is raising money even faster. Why? Because NONE of the claims have any substance, not even the last, which dared bare her face.

Truth is, Cain's supporters have 'doubled down' to support him... he's gaining, not losing. Which just goes to show you that conservatives are a lot smarter than the liberal smear-merchants. I've not supported him - yet... but, if push comes to shove, I will.

Nonsense. Multiple false accusations are not any more credible than a single accusation. People know this and that is why Cain’s poll numbers are stable or rising and his fundraising is going through the roof.

I'll never ever vote for a serial adulterer regardless of whether they call themselves conservative.
Not saying he is, mind you, but saying maybe it'll be clearer in the coming months.
