Gov. Bob McDonnell this morning cast Republican gains in the House of Delegates and Virginia Senate as partly a repudiation of President Barack Obama’s policies and said the pick-ups will give the GOP momentum going into 2012.

Appearing on Morning Joe on MSNBC, McDonnell said Republicans picked up at least six seats in the House of Delegates — “the highest number total of Republican seats in the Virginia House that we’ve ever had.”

He also claimed a two-seat pick up in the Senate for a 20-20 split, with Republican Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling as the tie breaker, “giving Republicans effective control.”

No doubt about it Gov., Obama loses Virginia come November, 2012!!! And.....just for the idiot Democrat Party types. Obama also loses OH, WV, KY, MS to boot, no matter what the Dem ranters and ravers proclaim!!! Smartest thing the Dems could do is broom Obama right now, get his resignation and flush him down the toilet where he and his “hate America” wife, Michelle rightly belong!!! and....flush “Obamacare” down the toilet with them, just as the good voters of Ohio did last night!!!

OK< but the NYT says the overall results bode well for the Democrats in '12.

Since I tend not to look to them for the truth I hope someone here can post a comprehensive summary.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Great news.

Of course the SRM isn’t going to further demoralize the rats with the reality of their demise.

I’m so ticked off at the northeastern liberal infestation of Northern VA.

Yankee Go Home!....or at least across the river to MD where you belong!

I don’t think you can take results in local elections and transform them to mean anything on the national level. The issues are not the same and the people know better who the crooks are. I voted for a rat in my Virginia senate race because, a, I know of some personal issues with the republican and b, I am against toll roads. I will not vote for a rat in a national election. I just don’t think the connection can be made or anything can be read into 2012.

Nope, and not a peep about how Ohio voted against ObamaCare by a larger margin than they did repealing Kasich’s union reform law.

Here in Hampton Roads, we call it "Occupied Virginia." And a big "AMEN" to sending the hordes back across the river. Parts of Falls Church don't even resemble America anymore.

Republican Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling as the tie breaker

Suddenly, Lt. Gov. Bolling's profile will raise markedly. He's a good man.

A lot of Republicans seem to think Obama’s already gone. I think that’s slightly delusional. I hope you’re right about 2012 but I think he’s got a somewhat better than 50% chance of winning next year.

You certainly are right!!! The Republicans are entirely capable of snatching defeat from the hands of victory!!! Running Mitt Romney for POTUS is exactly the same as running John McCain!!! A lost cause!!! And.....with the Republican establishement types doing a number on Herman Cain makes matters ten times worse!!!! Now.....I have no problem with folks jumping on Herman Cain, But Mr. Cain has not been proven guilty as of yet. Cain should remain innocent until proven guilty, IMHO!!! And....all this is going just as Obama and his calculated it would go!!! So....yes, Obama can win, if we, the conservatives let him!!! Take my word for it. Obama has no fear of Mitt Romney at all!!! Romneuy would be a cakewalk for him just as McCain was. It is Cain that Obama is terrified of. And....that is exactly why Obama and his ilk are painting Romney as their target, when the real target is the political destruction of Herman Cain at any cost!!! Hence, the bimbo attack straight from the WH!!! Problem is.....the bimbo team is becoming unraveled witheach passing day!!!!

All we need is a decent candidate and we win big.

We regain all the States that swung Democrat in the last election.
