It’s Only A Matter Of Time Before The Bombs Start Dropping

Up until this week the nuclear ambitions of Iran were purported to be for peaceful energy purposes, despite protests from the United States and Israel that the program had more sinister goals.

If a new report from the U.N.’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is to be believed, Iran is, in fact, attempting to build nuclear weapons:

The U.N. atomic agency said for the first time Tuesday that Iran is suspected of conducting secret experiments whose sole purpose is the development of nuclear arms, an assessment that draws on 1,000 pages of intelligence and nearly a decade of research.

The report by the International Atomic Energy Agency is its most unequivocal yet suggesting that Iran is using the cover of a peaceful nuclear program to produce atomic weaponry. Based on years of trying to probe Tehran’s secretive activities, its release will stoke debate on whether it’s time to jettison failed diplomatic efforts to end Iran’s nuclear defiance and replace them with force.

“While some of the activities identified in the annex have civilian as well as military applications, others are specific to nuclear weapons,” the report said.

Among these were indications that Iran has conducted high explosives testing and detonator development to set off a nuclear charge, as well as computer modeling of a core of a nuclear warhead.
The report also cited preparatory work for a nuclear weapons test, and development of a nuclear payload for Iran’s Shahab 3 intermediate range missile — a weapon that can reach Israel.

It’s also quite possible that such a payload could be deployed at another target: The United States. According to reports, Iran is capable of building between four and six nuclear weapons which, in the grand scheme of things would limit the potential destruction. But if they are, in fact, capable of producing the bomb now, then we suggest that the payload could do much more damage than commonly thought, especially considering that Iran has been working with the North Koreans on a miniaturized nuclear payload, which is a tell-tale sign of a weapon called the Super EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) Weapon:

(Click to the site to view a video)

As suggested in the micro-documentary, what we’re talking about here is the end of the world as we know it. Deployed properly, a Super EMP is fully capable of taking down the entire power grid of the lower 48 states. This is probably the most serious threat we face from rogue nations and shadow terrorist organizations. How likely is it? We can’t really be sure, but if the Iranians do have a nuke mounted atop a Shahab-3 or other missile, would they be able to smuggle it close enough to the West Coast to launch it above the United States?
We’d say yes, especially considering a alleged missile launch off the West Coast last year reportedly surprised our military and was not detected until it was too late to do anything about it.

We are, of course, cautious and skeptical about any report from the United Nations, especially if it further inflames tensions between nations. However, one thing is perfectly clear – Iran is governed by psychopaths (and that’s not to say we’re governed by emotionally and psychologically stable individuals in the Western World) who would like nothing more than to see the rise of the 12th Imam as prophesied by Hadith texts.

The 12th Imam, according to prophecy, will reign over a peaceful world, but only after several years of chaos and destruction. It is our belief that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a religious zealot who, if given the opportunity, would like to usher in the reign of the 12th Imam by being the harbinger of the destruction that precedes his arrival.
A self fulfilling prophecy, if you will. The world has always been held hostage to the possibility that some nutcase would gain access to “the button.” Ahmadinejad may very well be that guy.

This, of course, gives Israel and The United States every reason to launch a preemptive attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

The Russians have warned that such an attack could have disastrous consequences:

As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, any military strike against Iran would be a serious mistake fraught with unpredictable consequences.

The only way to solve the issue is to resume talks between Iran and the six world powers, including the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

Just as some analysts have warned, if Iran is targeted militarily, the already jumbled Middle East situation would become even harder to tackle, akin to pouring oil on the flames.

If we do join Israel in attacking Iran, or even if Israel acts alone, what happens next? Will the Iranians back down, or will they launch a full scale counter attack with the assistance of Syria, et. al.?

What we’re looking at here is the real possibility of a third World War, as it’s clear that the Chinese and Russians want nothing to do with any military aggression against the Iranians. Their response would be, as Mr. Lavrov said, “unpredictable.”

We’re of the opinion that it is only a matter of time before Iran becomes a hot zone. The Israelis and the United States now have a pretext for war which is essentially sanctioned by the United Nations report. Diplomatic talks have done nothing (as far as we can tell) to change the tide over the last few years.

If this goes down, and it looks like the Israelis are just itching to start dropping bombs, there’s a strong likelihood that our troops in Iraq may not make it home by President Obama’s Christmas deadline.

Dropping? Not here in SoCal.

Oh no, not dropped.

The bomb(s) will come in through the port or up from Mexico and be trucked to the point(s) of detonation.

I have always thought Iran has a few of those old nukes from the Soviets.

I remember an article from Frontpage mag a few years ago that was talking about this.

So who says they won’t use them?

While one EMP strike would not “take down the power grid of the entire United States”, several such strikes could severely damage it for months or even years.

I would like to see Israel bomb that reactor, and all the processing sites, back into the Stone Age. It’s the only way to keep the peace. Si vis pacem, parabellum.

If Israeli intelligence agrees with some of the premises of this article, we can expect an Israeli attack on Iran in the near future.

So yeah, the bombs could start falling at any time.

"I have always thought Iran has a few of those old nukes from the Soviets. "

I think the Saudi's have had Pakistan nukes for a long time too. After all, they funded the (Pakistan) 'Muslim Bomb' through the BCCI Bank.

Talking is only effective, if both parties are working in ‘Good Faith’. This is demonstrated to be a false assumption with Iran, they have shown themselves to be liars.

However, I fully believe everything their Goverment has said concerning the well-being of Israel.

Probably true and he knew it when he said they'd be home. There was a reason for this non-test dry run (my tv has been up all day so thought he was out on the golf course again). Iran most likely already has nukes aimed at us, so yeah, it's just a matter of time.

The regime in Iran is as evil as one can get. There really should be no debate as to what the fate of this regime should be, and nobody thinks that their puppet masters Russia and China will do anything to temper them.

It's either them, or us.

Why not an EMP over Iran? That would end their weapons programs and make them dependent on other nations for things like food and water. This would turn them back into baby monster status. Oil production and transportation from there would be shut down as well. Could we live with that?
