I was there too ... Atherton Hall ... I had friends over in "the barracks" ... and I had the same experience with Paterno a few times on campus.

But if Paterno is found to have knowingly covered up for the guilty ... he should get the neighboring cell ... and that is a hard thing for this PSU alumn to wish upon JoePa.
Most of us were EE majors - we got drunk one night and carefully trenched a cable over to Paterno's Satellite Dish [that he used to watch football feeds] and tapped into it. We then replaced the sod from the grass. After that, we wired everybody up for cable in the dorms [and had made Sat. Receivers in EE lab].
Some time later, Paterno comes into my dorm and wants to speak to all of us. The technician had been out performing maintenance and noticed our handiwork. After being informed, Paterno said he had a room in our dorm that he used when he overnighted and needed the feed there too. He said that he asked the EE students to do it to save money on installation. AMAZINGLY, the technician bought that cock-and-bull story.
Paterno never turned us in ...
