...All they have succeeded in doing is in raising Cain’s profile...They boosted his standing with conservatives

Agreed, but not only with conservatives.

They tried to paint Cain with that old "racist" brush and make him look as though he was a black man that hit on white women. But, in trying to scare away supporters with that image of Cain...they arroused many of the African Americans who resented that portrayal and came over to the Cain camp. Just as the blacks supported Obama because of his skin color, some who have become disillusioned with Obama are now supporting Cain. Many mainly because of these allegations to smear him.

Blacks are being reminded of that all too old and over-used prejudiced portrayal of one of their own. This whole smear campaign is starting to backfire on the mud-slinging Cain accusers. I know two black women who said they are donating to Cain simply because of these allegations. And they were strongly in Obama's corner but feel that they must help a black man simply because of what these white women are trying to do to him. Might not be the best reason, but many blacks are furious that, again, the racial sterotype is being used. And even though they are Democrats, they see Cain as a decent man who reminds them of a fair, and wise uncle or preacher, who is a trusted member of their community who is being wrongly accused and needs their help.

I think more will do the same. Blacks on both sides of political fence will be supporting Cain for the same, basic reason they supported Obama. To them it is less about politics than it is about some hateful white people degrading a good "brother."

Yes, I am sure that they’ve talked, and I’m sure Mr. Wood is putting the hammer to the nail on them. It would also not surprise me if he’s had discussions with the media outlets.

They need to put up, shut up, or face consequences.

We will see what “they” do from here. As someone has said, there is always a Plan B, and if there was not one, then you can bet they will create one yesterday.

Out of all I read and heard on this issue on Free Republic and many, many other news sources, the only racist remarks that I heard came from the RATS bashing Cain, conservatives who support Cain, or both. It was VERY clear when a conservative was speaking about versus a RAT.

I'm sorry, it may just be late in the day, but I don't understand your statement; the underlined portions don't make sense to me.

Another take on this came from a poster yesterday:

"The big, bad, black man attacked the innocent, little, blonde, white girls! Hang him!" trick isn't working. The left has designed this for us, because they think we're the racists. They think if we hear a black man attacked a white girl, we'd be demanding his head, and he wouldn't stand a chance. Sorry, liberals. That's your party - not ours.

Absolutely. I still get irritated that people can’t figure that out.

The left is showing us what is in their tiny little minds and evil little hearts.

They are accusing conservatives of the very things they are guilty of; they are obsessed with race and sex.

That whole "black male sexual predator/blonde white woman victim" thing tells us that. They think conservatives are stupid, racist, and sex-obsessed, and this is supposed to outrage us.

Times have changed; interracial couples don't give us the vapors. We're not stupid; we don't much believe a professional complainer who seems to get offended at nothing nor a gold-digging floozie.

I hope that other posters are right, and Mr. Cain has hired himself the biggest shark in the tank. Maybe we can start to leave his "black male sexuality" where it belongs, a private matter between himself and Mrs. Cain.

One interesting fact is that if Allred and Bennett made defamatory remarks to the public and press, Cain can also sue them for republishing those accusations. I could see Cain offering to drop the two women from any lawsuit if they admit the circumstances of them going public.

By naming the lawyers as defendant, it would create a conflict of interest and they would have to discontinue their represenations of the women. Any nerw lawyer they might get would quickly advise them to cooperate in exchange for a release of liability.

Could also file bar complaints against Allred and Bennett.

Everything she says in public has to match up 100% with what was written in the report at the NRA 15 years ago. If she exaggerates, and it is later found that what she says now was not what she said then, she will be facing libel suit - it won’t be he-said she-said anymore.

So they probably pulled out of the conference either to see if they can find or reconstruct the documents/statements or find witnesses who can remind them of what exactly was said. This isn’t just play-time, a man’s reputation is on the line. They need to be accurate, and they need to be credible. The burden of proof is on the accuser. If it ends up sounding like this woman from today who said “well I don’t remember anything he said it just felt wrong” - sheesh!

If Cain does as well or better, expct these Chicago Obama fans to come forward to try and inflict damage again.

If they do that, then BO’s Chicago clubhouses may have to come to light along with the murdered gay church choir director that was supposedly involved with BO. Heck, our side can make baseless claims too. Play hardball with these scumbags and expose them for what they are.

No problem.

First underline restated: “...the only racist remarks that I heard came from the RATS bashing Cain, [the Rats bashing] conservatives who support Cain, or [the Rats bashing] both.

Second Underline: “It was VERY clear when a conservative was speaking about [Cain/this issue] versus a RAT [when a Rat was speaking about Cain/this issue].

Bottom line: as expected, conservatives handled this issue very well and, as expected, the Rats proved to be racists and race-baitors that they are.

Sorry for the confusion, and I hope that makes sense!

I wonder if her buddy Karl Rove is coming too? What is Hannity’s problem? Why does he want to keep this alive? Makes Hannity look bad.

“The smear was not aimed at Tea Party types, but at the foolish sheeple in the Pubbie Party and independents in the general election.”

Wrong...if that were the case, then let Cain get the nomination, and THEN hit him with this stuff. Now he’s got a SERIOUS lawyer and will be ready.

I’m getting close to posting a thread on what I really think is going, and if I’m right, Cain cannot be allowed anywhere near the Republican nomination.

Rush needs to keep mentioning Larry Sinclair and the Jeremiah Wright gay choir guys who were whacked in a mysterious way before Obama started his run for POTUS.

Time to take off the kid gloves and let them have it.

Not to mention Beau Biden’s role in all this.

The news media needs to get a rude awakening.

Did you notice that all at once Obozo’s concubine Reggie Love is leaving? LOL

Ah, yes, thank you. That does make sense now. I think the subject-object of the first statement got a little muddied the first time around.
