PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Federal investigators spent Wednesday bringing out boxes from the Providence office of Rep. John J. McCauley during an afternoon raid.

According to Jim Martin from the US Attorney's Office in Providence, agents were executing a search warrant at McCauley & L'Europa Public Insurance Adjusters.

Law enforcement sources told Eyewitness News McCauley, deputy speaker of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, was under investigation for alleged insurance fraud.

Law men and women spent about an hour at the location Wednesday, removing multiple computers and more than a dozen brown boxes.

Sources also said a federal grand jury is hearing testimony on this case this week.

According to our newspartners at The Providence Journal , McCauley's business partner - William L'Europa - watched the raid but did not speak.

A task force of Providence Police, RI State Police, FBI and ATF are involved in the probe.

McCauley was hospitalized Saturday night. Sources said McCauley had learned of the investigation that day.

Why does the article not say what party he is apart of?
I know the answer. Liberal Bias.

Federal agents investigate lawmaker's business

Friends of state Rep. John McCauley say he's been distraught over news that his company is being investigated by federal agents.

see my tagline.

I really do hate our corrupt, bias, pro homosexual, pro cross dressing liberal media.

Zero’s numbers would be half of what they are if we had a free and fair press.
It is a disgrace how this crap we call the media get away with all of this and I do hope that an investigation will be done once we get power to see how these bias turds worked with the white house.

“McCauley was hospitalized Saturday night. Sources said McCauley had learned of the investigation that day.”

Seems like an admission of guilt.

This dude is a democrat. If he were a Repub, the story would have shouted it out. Since he is a Dem, the political affiliation isn’t mentioned - it isn’t important, dunchaknow? Smirk.

As if someone in his position wouldn’t be totally stressed out if this happened and he were innocent.

As there is no mention by the MSM in the headline, or first paragraphs, or anywhere in the story regarding his party, and no democrats being quoted that this person represents the entire party he belongs to, I know 100% he’s a democrat.

Thanks for the hypocritical constant consistency, MSM.

That was exactly my conclusion. Amazing how nearly all media do the same thing; apparently thinking that the reader is too stupid to know their game.

Exactly.

The only reason that I knew of this was the article was posted on an insurance fraud website.

If it was a Republican the headline would read something like this:

"Republican Congressman is finely busted by the FBI for his corruption."

The media has made clear for years now their intentions. Free and and fair is off the table in their minds.

A Google search for any news stories on this Democrat slime-ball McCauley came back as a big zero. Which leads me to firmly believe that Google is in the pocket of the Dems for sure.

However using another search engine I did find one other news report. The comments about this Democrat alleged crook are worth reading. I love reading that McCauley is a former “drainage inspector.” He must be part of the Nancy Pelosi “Drain the swamp” crew!

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rep. John J. McCauley Jr., D-Providence, was hospitalized over the weekend following a 911 call to his insurance adjustment office on Hawkins Street.

William L’Euorpa, McCauley’s partner in the business, McCauley & L’Europoa Public Insurance Adjusters, said Tuesday they had learned that the FBI was investigating their business.

L’Europa declined to comment further on the circumstances of McCauley’s hospitalization, other than to say that he’d heard many rumors and “people are making a mountain out of a mole hill.”

McCauley, a former plumbing, drainage and gas inspector for the city of Providence, was elected to the House in 1990 and is the deputy speaker.

In the paper: Wednesday, McCauley’s partner tells what he knows — and doesn’t know.
