Um, Gennifer Flowers' tapes came out before the election. And a strong whiff of tom-catting had followed Clinton all through his Arkansas years.
Tapes that many said had been altered, I would add. I believed them, but many did not. No, the only bonafide, unassailable proof was that blue dress. After that, there could be no doubt. Until then, Clinton’s denials were accepted as truth by almost everyone on the Democrat side, and even by some conservatives. (Not a lot of them, thankfully.)
