Never heard of them but will check them out this weekend - thanks!
I know but I thought they sounded pretty good @ O2 a couple of years ago - I bought the bootleg of the concert and would recommend it if you’re a fan.
That's true of a lot of bands. There are some great songs by Rush that never get airplay, probably because they're 10 minutes long.
Journey had some great material pre-Steven Perry, but you NEVER hear any of it on the radio.
And when was the last time you heard "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" in its entirety on the radio?
Ha! No - I had it right but, I am also a big Rush fan, they are in my top four.
True. But they didn’t release any new albums......Coda doesn’t count.
Squirrel Bait Sun God
It’s like Freebird for those who aren’t from Dixie.
Didn’t they play Times Square/Madison Square Garden New Years eve 71/72 and it was broadcast live?
I remember listening to them play a New Years eve concert - can’t remember the year. Wish I had the tapes...
That was fun. Most of those examples are ‘this thief stole from that thief’.
Don't forget John Paul Jones, who was responsible for perhaps some of the most instantly recognizable bass lines in rock and roll history.
From Wikipedia: "Many music publications and magazines have ranked Jones among the best rock bassists of all time. He was named the best bassist on Creem Magazine's 1977 Reader Poll. In 2000, Guitar magazine ranked him third in the "Bassist of the Millennium" readers' poll."
I saw Zep live in concert several decades ago. We had unbelivably great seats, close to front and center. Unfortunately, I can't remember a thing about it. :-q
This is the Zappa stuff I like:

Ive seen a lot of concerts in mylife.
Zappa at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh Pa was supremo
The truely sad thing about this is that the song will still be under copyright at it’s hundredth anniversary.
Have you heard “Stairway To 7-11”?

What do you have against property rights?
I didn’t think much of Zep back when I was a teen, but now that I’m seriously studying drums, I appreciate them like never before.
Still, listing to Robert Plant sing is as vaguely uncomfortable as walking in on your college roommate while he’s having sex.
