Republican Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann’s campaign is expressing outrage over an internal CBS memo that they said is proof the network mistreated the Minnesota congresswoman during Saturday night’s CBS News/National Journal Debate.
The email was accidentally sent to the Bachmann campaign by CBS News. The campaign decided to release the email to show what they believe was a planned effort to limit questions to Bachmann.
Bachmann’s campaign manager blasted CBS for what he called “concrete evidence confirming what every conservative already knows.”
“The liberal mainstream media elites are manipulating the Republican debates by purposely suppressing our conservative message and limiting Michele’s questions,” said campaign manager Keith Nahigian. “We need to show the liberal media elite that we won’t stand for this outrageous manipulation. Help us fight this affront by sharing this with your friends.”

I’m not OK with it. The purpose of a debate is to hear the POV of all the candidates. The MSM already has the advantage of selectively covering them in their regular broadcast time. Let the field be narrowed down in its merits not on outsider manipulation.
None of the current candidates realize the changes that have taken place since the mid 80’s in information dissemination.
They are unaware of Cable news.
Conservative radio.
and ALGores invention.
So they shall get beat up on CBS, NBC and ABC.
If one of them said , “I shall no longer give time the CBS,NBC and ABC” , their numbers would skyrocket.
I'll use what Obama recommended, I'll get in their face.

I think Bachmann (and I was not one of her fans) was correct. In fact, an analysis today showed that Romney has gotten significantly more time than any of the other candidates, overall, throughout all the broadcasts.
The candidates need to decide on and agree upon a format and a way of allotting time. These aren’t “debates,” they’re press interviews.
Also, it appears that the interviewers are able to adjust on the fly. Cain did poorly, and therefore he got less time - presumably from people who didn’t want to make him look bad.
So there’s got to be an objective standard for setting these things up.
That said, there are NO Dem debates and the Dems pick their candidate in silence. Doesn’t anybody think this is strange???

It is hard to argue with with the numbers, CBS.
BTW, isn”t CBS short for Conservative Bashing System?
