Occupy DC: If We’re Talking About Revolution, We’re Going to Have to Win Over Some Military
Verum Serum ^ | November 13, 2011 at 7:45 am | Morgen

We all know there is a large contingent of radical socialists, even communist die-hards, among the Occupy crowd, but it’s still pretty jarring to see this sort of discussion being conducted in the light of day, probably no more then a mile or two from our nation’s capitol.

Sad to say, but given the amount of whiny butt, cry-babies that are “conscientious objectors” I imagine they actually will get a few of the military to be on their side.

It was his own brothers in arms. It’s not like it was an occupy movement. The government promised them a bonus and they wanted it due to hard times, and the government forced them out by burning them out. You don’t think that’s a terrible thing to do?

The gist of my post anyway was that the military will follow orders, citizens be damned.

MacArthur was a general and the Army Chief of Staff who commanded both Patton and Eisenhower (who were majors at that time) in the operation to evict the Bonus “Army” encamped in Washington in 1931.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Revolting in order to impose absolute Despotism (Socialism) was not exactly what the Founders had in mind, nor would it be anything the US military would endorse or support.

The military doesn’t associate with lazy, undisciplined freaks. Sorry losers.

Then you might as well go home. Ain’t gonna happen. The Ft. Hood shooter was your last hope.

I'd like to think that were the case... but the military has changed over the years, and has been infiltrated by subhuman elements from gang members to those a jihadi mindset. There are others.

I enjoyed Occupying for all the RIGHT reasons and with the RIGHT people...

Our demands were clear, and to the point...

Then we all went home without annoying anyone, or overstaying our welcome...

Funny how that all worked out...

I believe a few troops of the Pennsylvania Boy Scouts could end this entire problem if they were unfettered...

Perhaps a new merit badge with clusters:

Eradication of Socialist Occupations

They’d have to get the Marines on their side, and no way in hell is that happening. Majority of them are conservative leaning and would gladly slap around some silly little hippie such as they without batting an eye if they suggested giving full absolute power to Obama.

Don’t think that Marxism or Socialism is going to move the military...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

We have an occupant of the Red House who has posted crudely made forgeries, has multiple social security numbers, was never seen on the campus of Columbia University, and has refused very polite requests from officers to prove his natural born citizenship, refuses to release his passport records, refuses to state the nationality he claimed as a student, and claims to have a foreigner for a father and therefore had claim to more than one citizenship at birth.

Have the highest military sought clarification from congress or the courts about this? Or?...Have they been more than willing to allow the brave and honorable men and women serving under them to salute a likely usurper and die under his Rules of Engagement?

I’m speechless. Just when I thought that maybe the stupidity of these people was being exaggerated. SNL could not caricature these people.

And the “professors” holding forth. They get paid for venting this at their classes?

Anyone remember the boss’s son character in the seventies classic “Car Wash”? Wandering around all day, Little Red Book in hand, trying to proselytize the workers? They eventually run HIM through the wash. That’s these people, only here they have an eager audience trying to outdo each other in spouting the jargon.

Remember the Bonus Army disaster, and how Patton is a hero to many.

Eisenhower was there too. Both he and Patton were under the command of then Army Chief of Staff Douglas MacArthur.

Indeed, it's been suggested that one reason MacArthur never ran for the presidency was because of the possibility of Bonus Army veterans turning up at every campaign whistlestop in America, in those days before the electronic broadcast media determined who the candidates would be.
