Old is at least 10 years older than me. ;)
I’m no baby myself — I’m 52 — and I thought about your question when i typed that. I thought i had an excuse for saying it because his lack of an email address did indeed make me think he doesn’t use email. But you’re right — that makes him old-fashioned, but not necessarily old. (Frankly, his dopey 1960’s politics make him old-fashioned too.)
Anyway — point taken.
I sent mine through Any Soldier. Is that the one you used?
“I think it is shameful that it is perceived as legitimate to solicit in an ACADEMIC institution? What does that have to do with it? Does he think it’s okay to solicit a mental institution? Oh, wait. Same thing.
“IS EVERY University a stinking cesspool!!!!!!!”
Well this particular professor is a stinker. Thats for sure.
Yes that’s who I use.
Me, too!
Good point!
Can you rehabilitate a Leftist? I think many on the Far Left have as much hatred for our troops as ever, they are just more careful about expressing it openly.
Who said anything about rehabilitating leftists?
I think that our troops always had a good image with everyone except the Left. So the only group, in my mind where there image cold be rehabbed was with the Left.

That is not the case. For many years, the widely-held view of Vietnam veterans was that they were unemployable drug-addicted basket cases scarred by the atrocities they were forced to commit against innocent Asian peasants. Hollywood made more than a dozen films aimed at reinforcing the stereotype.
John Kerry's key role in creating this poisonous myth was the primary motivation for the veteran-led effort that defeated him in 2004 - an effort that also debunked much of the Left's successful anti-military propaganda during and after the Vietnam era. See WinterSoldier.com and SwiftVets.com for more information.
I agree, good point.
Oops!
The general public attitude toward vets, and especially Vietnam vets, changed from negative to positive starting in 2004. Many thanks to you and the Swifties.
Thanks. According to opinion polls, the public view of the military and veterans in general had already turned positive by 2004 - that’s why Kerry was advised to run as a war hero. I do think we defused much of the lingering prejudice against Vietnam veterans. We also stopped the leftists from reviving their “war criminals” story line, by showing that it was based on lies.
Thanks for the clarification. I hadn’t noticed the change before 2004.
