The Implosion of Herman Cain
Redstate ^ | 11/14/2011 | Leon H. Wolf

Posted on 11/14/2011 8:30:40 PM PST by TBBT

Anyone who saw the debate on Saturday night and observed Herman Cain’s performance clearly saw a man who was terrified of the questions he was being asked and was hoping to be noticed as little as possible. Apparently, there was a good reason for that. Herman Cain apparently sat down with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel editorial board to talk foreign policy and, well… this happened.

Now, normally I would include a description of what happened in this video but this is one of those videos you really do have to see to believe. You cannot grasp how utterly clueless Cain is in answering this question until you see his physical discomfort – and you wouldn’t believe that he didn’t know whether Obama supported the rebels or not unless you saw it for yourself. (Apparently, in another nugget from this same interview, Cain indicated that he believed that public sector employees should be able to bargain collectively so long as that did not impose a burden on taxpayers – which is a little like saying he would be in favor of invading Iran so long as no one got killed.)

It’s late.
The bickering is wearing thin.

Allowing any rapist, serial killer, drug lord, bar room brawler, or pimp to come and go as they please into the United States from any third world hellhole on the planet is “Conservative” in the eyes of Romney and Perry supporters, but no one else.

Herman and Newt just want to let them stay here and not have to bother with going home.

Herman Cain:

http://www.economicfreedomcoalition.com/news/press-opinion-061107.asp

The Immigration Bill could have succeeded if the political class in Congress and the president had listened to the public and addressed the four distinct problems. Namely, secure the borders convincingly, expand the temporary worker program for skilled legal immigrants, establish a reliable legal immigrant identification program and then propose a reasonable program for the 12 million (and counting) illegal persons who broke our laws to get here, but not amnesty.

Newt:

http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/region_phoenix_metro/central_phoenix/newt-gingrich-talks-arizona-immigration

“[Illegal immigrants] should pay a penalty, but they should then get a Red Card which would not put them on the road for citizenship, but it would bring them in from illegality,” he said. “It would make them part of the community, and their children and grandchildren could aspire to become American citizens.”

No sale. Also extremely irresponsible for two people who are running for President to say while we still have an unsecured border who will see it as a really good reason to get here now.

“Watch the interview again. Even Greta looked stunned.”

That’s because Greta’s so used to dealing with slick politicians and professional politico wives that such candor surprised her. (And Greta frequently irritates me anyway.)

Perhaps in the superficial, shallow, MTV society we live in, Gloria should’ve had a makeover and an acting coach.

Not.

Personally, I prefer the CEO with the math degree, with the Fed experience, and with moral character.
I figure that beats professional politicians and community organizers any ol’ day.
I am convinced that the greatest potential failure for any human is feeling the need to express an opinion on everything. We are better served witholding judgements until such time as we research the topic. When self-engrandizement and hubris are added, heated, and stirred up, voila....
you have a politician.
Personnaly, I’m sick of that entree.

Here is the math.
We had better scale back Government, particularly from the Federal level, or we are screwed.

Something Herman said during the segment with him and Gloria outside really struck me - when he said that after the first date, he didn’t date anyone else.

Because my 93 year-old dad recently said the same thing - he told us that he knew after the first date that he wanted to marry my mom (but it took her quite awhile longer :-)

Touching.

Gee, that kinda sounds like the Rick and Anita story.

I sure doesn’t sound like the Gingrich story, A fellow that Cain is obviously in cahoots with at this moment in time.

If the Right is going to let the Leftist Lies tell us who is our candidate, then we have already lost the election.

I’m convinced any candidate outside of Cain will not only give Obama another 4 years, but it will be the rise of the Tea Pary.

Newt will never make it because he is too polarizing.

You can see where most attacks come from of those who attack Herman Cain, just tonight , NBC with bated breath just so happen to lead off with one of it's top stories of this interview with Cain and how he looked bad.
The left, the MSM, the Liberal Trolls, RINOS are in a " at all costs " to attack Herman Cain.

The Cains are grandfatherly and grandmotherly folks who ought to be sitting in rockers on their verandah enjoying their senior years together far from the political scene.
