On this Veterans Day Weekend we are excited about our new flags and the Walter Reed MOAB to say THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR THE VETERANS.
We have always had the Army flag from our Fridays at Walter Reed, and because Cindy_True_Supporter and [Mrs] T served in the Army back in the 70s. And we have always had the Marine Corps flag because [Mrs] T and I are partial to the Marine Corps. When we started our troop support rally in Olney my brother was a colonel in the Marines, now retired, and our son and two nephews have been active duty Marines since we started in Olney.
Of course in helps that the majority of Legionnaires that stand with us served in either the Army or Marines.
Several years ago an active duty sailor stopped by to thank us for our support. Several weeks later he stopped by and presented us with a Navy flag. It was up and flying the following Saturday.
But the Air Force and Coast Guard flags were missing. This was primarily due to the fact that we had limited utility poles to attach them to and the street trees blocked the view. Where do we put them that they would easily be seen? It was finally decided to just double up on some utility poles.
We used this Veterans Day Weekend to put them up. Some fine tuning of their position will be done this Saturday.
I need to thank Lurker Jim who donated money to buy the flags. He also did most of the work acquiring the pvc and cutting them.

Patriots in Olney on this Veterans Day Weekend: Lurkers Bill and Jim, and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, Fraxinus, GunsAreOK, [Mrs] T and myself
BELOW LEFT: Lurker Jim, me and Cindy_True_Supporter. BELOW RIGHT: Cindy since she was hiding on the other pic.
BELOW LEFT: Guns and Franinus holding down our left flank. BELOW RIGHT: Lurker Bill with a Big Wave. Lurker Bill had a surprise for us today. He brought out his generator and bigger speakers which he hooked up to his regular battery powered sound system. This really blasted out patriotic music on this Veterans Day weekend. I was waiting for the moonbats to start melting upon hearing the music.
BELOW: Some newer posters.
The moonbats with their OWS posters were out again (BELOW TOP) but were hardly noticed as we waved and thanked our to many to count passing supporters, (BELOW ALL OTHERS), not that you couldnt see for yourself.

DC Chapter Master Ping List
As usual ... great pix, great job!
You guys are the ONLY reason I’d ever want to visit DC - no interest whatsoever in the monuments or buildings.
Well....’maybe’ the Smithsonian.
God Bless Our Troops and You Faithful Supporters.
Thanks and dittos on “God Bless Our Troops”.
[Mr] T
Thank you for the praise from the DC Chapter.
If you are ever in town, Olney has a lot of historic sites. Brookeville, our Nation’s capitol for a day while the Brits burned Washington is just a few minutes north of here. If you are interested in old houses, we have a lot from early 1800s on.
[Mr] T
Maryland PING!
Thanks for the ping - Great pictures and I can almost hear the boom box! The flags are beautiful! Wish I were there but we had veterans’ events here including hosting Wounded Warriors from Walter Reed for the weekend. They really enjoy it.
See you all soon.
I always say, do what you can for our troops, and sounds like you did real well. Even our Legionnaires did not make it today. They were out and about for Veterans Day.
The pictures are wonderful...It looked a bit windy, but not bitter cold...YET?
Music, flags and great Freepers. Who could ask for anything more!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you.
We could, your presence at Olney is always welcomed. Of course we welcome any patriot.
[Mr] T
