I like Cain personally, but I DO NOT think the WH is the place to start a new career in politics.

So National Security is your issue?

What is the most pressing foreign policy issue of our day?

Iran’s attempt to get nukes and missiles to delver them.

So what do we do? Invade a 4th country? Ignore it? Start a covert war with Iran? Help the Gulf Arabs and the Israelis get nukes also?

OR Do we make forceful clear statement, as Cain would, that any attack on Israel will be viewed as an attack on the USA.

Then we do back up that statement, as Cain says, an build up our system of naval warships (i.e the Aegis ships Cain is talking about) that have the ability to knock down any Iranian missiles in flight thus giving our side an ability to neutralize the Iranian threat and protect our regional interests, without starting yet another war or adding to the destabilizing of the region.

Can we really just rely on Mutual Assured Destruction to Contain the leaders of an Iranian Death Cult that believes that a massive act of suicide will usher in the rule of the Hidden Mahdi?

Cain is the only one who looked at the real problem with Iran and said “here are the solutions”

Start a new career in politics?

PROFESSIONAL POLITICIANS are what’s KILLING this country.

Good Lord. Even people who profess to be conservatives have bought the hook, line and sinker lie that only “professional politicians” can govern.

Let me ask, was George Washington a Professional Politician? Some of our best presidents were NOT professional politicians and some of our WORST were.

We have no hope if we keep electing the type of people who have spent this county into a depression.

I agree, but Cain might be the best one left who has a chance. Cain MIGHT work out if he has the wisdom to choose cabinet members that make up for his lack of expertise in areas.

We needed a military leader like Ike in his times, but our economic situation now shows the need for a person with business management skills.

Sarah Palin’s record as governor shows she was vastly more qualified to be president than Cain or Obama. I have to wholeheartedly disagree with that statement in the article about her being not qualified.

Vietnam went the way it did ENTIRELY BECAUSE PEOPLE PUT IN CAREER POLITICIANS.

The notion that politics and the judiciary are a realm for an elite class is how we got where we are. No thanks.

Sure, like all of the carefully groomed, pouffy haired, career politicians in the GOP have done so well for us. It’s long past the time to get behind and elect a non-politician who is conservative and who wants to save the Constitution and the Republic. Cain is that man.

Our first President started his career in politics in the White House, didn’t he? Seemed to work out just fine.

The President doesn’t draw up legislation. The President is guardian of the Bully Pulpit, and represents our country abroad. Cain, as a talented and gracious and wise businessman, is ideal for the position.

We don’t need a teleprompter reader. We need a business leader.

I agree. 9-9-9 was an incomplete gimmick, his last debate performance was awful and the Libya video was painful. He's a nice guy but won't be President.

Pretty much says it. It showed quite obviously in the last debate and in interviews. He would not be a very strong candidate in the general election.
