I don’t know that all guys behaved that way. I remember hearing about some of the guys popping each other on the ass with wet towels. Which that would be nothing more than horseplay (I’m speaking of 30-40 years ago). But in any case there was never the presence of a coach other than to yell ‘knock it off’.
Girls locker rooms were set up in much the same way as you describe...I’m speaking jr. & sr. high which is all I’m familiar with.
Back to Sandusky though, it’s all so disgusting (beyond words) and now, one of the victims is going to recant his testimony? WTH?
I’m so glad my son is raised. I can’t imagine raising a child in this sick society. God help us.
Any pushing around or other physical joking I can recall from high school lockers was not done naked. It might be half in football or other uniform, while somebody does something like put Icy Hot cream on somebody’s shorts before he puts them on.
But frolicking naked in showers? Even among same-age boys? Never, never, in a thousand years never!
