Hours after being evicted by the police, protesters returned to Zuccotti Park on Tuesday, without tents and sleeping bags
Emergency-service trucks rumbled up Broadway to positions on two sides of Zuccotti Park. Powerful klieg lights blinked on, illuminating about 220 protesters in tents and sleeping bags. The one-square-block plaza was as bright as day. But it was only 1 a.m.
Voices of the police, booming from loudspeakers, echoed through the financial district. Officers swept through the park, picking their way around tents and over sleeping bags, handing out leaflets. Dozens of protesters linked arms and shouted “This is our home,” “Barricade!” and, in one case, “You’re stepping on my bed!”
But the message was clear: Occupy Wall Street’s two-month encampment was coming to a sudden end.
The eviction early Tuesday morning, which ended with the arrests of 140 bleary-eyed protesters who had not heeded the orders to clear out, capped two intense weeks in which Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and his aides tried but failed to negotiate with members of Occupy Wall Street. They concluded that the protesters were unwilling to negotiate and unable to address their encampment’s growing problems on their own.
On Tuesday evening, after a judge agreed that officials could ban tents and tarps, several hundred protesters without sleeping gear returned to the park in Lower Manhattan, began to meet and prepared for an uncertain future.
“I think everyone’s still in the processing mode,” said Nate Barchus, 23, a protester from Providence, R.I., who acknowledged feeling rage and disappointment.

I guess the editors thought the word "Uncertain" was too grim for the cause.
So I ran it under it's current title:

14 protesters sitting around Zuccotti ParkNEW YORK — About a dozen Occupy Wall Street protesters are in Zuccotti Park, talking and trying to stay awake.
They are sitting on the park's marble benches, occasionally chanting "We are the 99 percent" and other protest slogans.
About 30 police officers are looking on.
A judge ruled Tuesday that the protesters could return to Zuccotti but could not set up camp.
Some of the overnight protesters are holding up signs.
One reads "Police, who do you protect really?" It's posted on the metal barricade that was erected around the park after the protesters were hauled out of the park during a police raid Tuesday.
A handful of protesters are also at a nearby McDonald's resting their heads on a table taking a nap.

The mayor figured he would just negotiate with the anarchists, but found out that anarchists don't negotiate. Now when he sends the police union down to "negotiate", the anarchists are shocked and surprised (jolted).

The politicians are actually trying to save these people. They know that when the real winter weather hits that they’ll just gradually drift away. By forcing them to go home now, they hope to have them come back in the spring.
That is pretty much what leftists do - crap on our country and people.

Republicans need to use this in every single campaign ad they run.
These filthy monsters need to be exposed for who they truly are.
The challenge that these freeloaders should face is how to find a job and support themselves without looking for a handout. Get a job, pay your bills, meet your obligations under student loans and other debts. Be adults and not over-aged babies screaming for a bottle.

Community Board Asks "Occupy Wall Street" Protesters To Clean Up, Quiet Down

“This has been a nightmare,” said Brian Summers, who lives near Zuccotti Park.
Summers said those trying to force corporations to become better corporate citizens should learn to be better citizens themselves.
“It makes us feel horrible. We work down here, we live down here,” said Summers.
Drums are played each and every day. The noise registers as 117 on a decibel meter.
According to the federal government, regular exposure to 110 decibels can lead to permanent hearing loss.
From blocks away, it might not be physically harmful, but neighbors say it's damaging lives.
“We support the message, and a lot of residents do, but they also want to have a good night sleep,” said Manhattan City Councilmember Margaret Chin.
Local officials have been swamped with neighborhood complaints.
That's why they invited protesters to hear them firsthand at a Community Board 1 meeting Thursday.
Besides the noise problem, residents say protesters are pouring urine in the streets.
“Our neighbors do not urinate and defecate in the street. These occupiers need to vacate our neighborhood,” said one resident.

Hours After Manhattan Residents March On City Hall, Bloomberg Responds

"...The OWS movement in New York City had become a serious detriment to residents and business owners living and working in the area near Zuccotti. Bloomberg was constantly under siege from residents to do something about the noise and reports of unsanitary conditions, in addition to the negative impact the demonstrations were having on local businesses.
Residents got so enraged they decided to do something about it on Monday by marching on City Hall.

“No, I’m not going to take off my mask,” one woman, who was wearing a white hockey goalie-style mask when meeting the media, told CBS 2′s Kathryn Brown.
The masked woman, who said she covered up out of fear of retribution from Occupy protesters, wanted the city to take lower Manhattan residents’ claims seriously.
“A lot of them would have done this, but a lot of them are very scared to show their face and come out here,” the woman said. “I mean I’m even scared to show my own face because I’m afraid of the backlash.”
Protesters have been camped out at Zuccotti Park for nearly two months, weathering the elements and the near-constant criticism from those who live and work in the area. They have complained the protesters’ presence has become a quality of life crisis.
Residents say poor sanitary conditions, loud noise from round-the-clock drumming sessions and rowdy drug-fueled parties have made their lives a living nightmare. And, they said, the movement was killing their businesses.
“We close our gate at night time and they move their bowels all over the gate, our gate, you know what I mean?” one business owner said. “They pee all over the back of the store. They are not nice. They push customers.”
“A lot of waste is being dumped behind my alleyway where I dump the garbage,” another owner said, reiterating the waste he was witnessing was indeed human waste.“
“As long as the protesters are here, our businesses are threatened,” another man said. “I don’t know how much longer we will be able to hold on.”
Mayor Bloomberg had waffled between supporting the protesters’ right to freedom and sympathizing with those who say the movement was restricting their own.
Earlier Monday — once again — the mayor refused to elaborate on what, if anything, he was going to do, but the actions of the NYPD early Tuesday morning clearly showed Bloomberg;s patience had reached its end. ..."
