I increasingly see Paterno coming out of this vindicated,

Four months ago, Paterno transferred the deed to his
half million dollar house to his wife for a dollar.

Prior to that it was in joint tenancy.

He knows he will be sued down to his sox.

Right, which is why he did not transfer ownership of his $4 million beach house.

What he did was very common for asset protection among wealthy older married couples where one spouse is much older than the other.

A building under construction, L'ambiance Plaza, collapsed in 1987 killing dozens of workers. The lawyers sued everyone in sight, even the canteen truck driver. Getting sued is no measure of guilt. It's more of a measure of how much money you have.
