Abramoff accuses Newt Gingrich of 'corruption.' Really.
Politico ^ | 11/16/11 | MAGGIE HABERMAN

Gregory asked Abramoff - who finished a jail stint over a year ago on influence-peddling charges and has been promoting his recently-published book - about the strategic counseling fee of over $1 million that was paid to Newt Gingrich by housing giant Freddie Mac.

"What do you make of all that?" Gregory asked.

Abramoff replied, "This is exactly what I'm talking about. People who come to Washington who have public service and they cash in on it. And they use their public service and their access to make money, and unfortunatley Newt Gingrich is one of them who have done it.

Now this is very interesting. When Abramoff was being interviewed on Sean Hannity’s show last week (why, I don’t know), he said that Newt was practically the ONLY politician who didn’t succumb to his bribery overtures.

Now he’s piling onto the “Get Newt” bandwagon?

NOTHING Abramoff did was criminal, nothing he did should be illegal.

Why then was he convicted of? "Mail fraud and conspiracy"???!! What the heck kind of charges are they!

Abramoff was politically guilty of three counts. ONE: He was a Republican power player who was JEWISH. Well. That's REALLY the only count.

I wanted to count the facts that Abamhoff was (2) a good-looking Jewish Male and (3) in his college years he established a potent College Republican organization and was a firm, effective and energetic Reagan supporter.

Abramhoff is an honest man. He operated in a culture of the dishonest, as a Republican JEW, a high-powered effective lobbyist, and THAT made him very vulnerable.

It is simply stunning to me to watch how the the Jew-haters rush out IMMEDIATELY to play whack-a-Jew when his name is mentioned.

Anyone that actually opens their eyes and has been paying attention the past 20 years knows this is true... and it is true about 70% of the criminals in DC. We are stuck with a slate of awful candidates... we have to choose one... but just remember one thing... ALL of these candidates are replete with problems... but all but a few are better than obama. We have to pick the best of a bunch of third tier politicians. We have to eat a rotten sandwich... which one will just make us ill and which one will kill us? Hmmmmmm.

Interesting. Politico doesn't have fact check OR spell check.

It’s just a shame that we don’t have a fair media that would have gone after Obama’s past like they have with every Republican. The bias on their part is just blatant and over the top.

Do you really think Obama would have beaten Hillary in the primary if everything about his past were revealed?

Politico is now the Left’s private Hit Squad.

If corruption via influence on the part of top political leaders is such a critical matter, then why do they not begin by examining the top of the food chain?

Lets see their investigation of how Moochelle first of all gets a job as VP of Community Relations at University if Chicago Hospital earning 122K per year.

Then when Obama became a senator in 2005, her ‘salary’ leapfrogged to $$316,962.

Throw in that she had her license to practice law taken from her.

When Hitico investigates this first then they can talk about the questionable choice that GOP Presidential candidates have made.

At this point its just nakedly transparent that the role this group plays it to confront the GOP with Hit Pieces so the Left can retain political power.

The Obama/Romney plan is to take down every conservative by means of the media.

Newt made a coupla hundred thousand a year as an expert consultant with Freddie Mac.

Was he supposed work at MacDonalds after his government life.

I have a number of friends who were SpecOps in the military. They are highly trained in a very specialized skill. When they retire, they use their background to land positions in firms that also deal in those kind of specialties.

How is that different than what Gingrich has done?

Billionaire business mogul Penny Pritzker is a member of one of America’s richest families and was the Finance Chair for the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.  It was Pritzker that led the prolific, and illegal, fundraising that helped power Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.  She was the chair of Chicago-based Superior Bank’s board for five years.

Pritzker was into subprime lending before it became all the rage starting in around 2000.  Prtizker's chairmanship was to concentrate on sub prime lending, principally on home mortgages, but for a while in subprime auto lending, too, after the Pritzkers' bank acquired its wholesale mortgage organization division, Alliance Funding, in December 1992.

Back then they called it "predatory lending."

Superior Bank went belly up in 2001 with over $1 billion in insured and uninsured deposits; 1,406 depositors lost much of their life savings.  This collapse came amid harsh criticism of how Superior’s owners promoted sub-prime home mortgages.

On Nov. 1 [2002] the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. pointed the finger at Ernst & Young, Superior’s auditor, in a fraud suit filed in federal court here.  But that action came two months after a group of Superior depositors accused the bank’s owners and directors, including two members of the Pritzker family, of racketeering....

[snip]

...Pritzker is chairman of Classic Residence by Hyatt, luxury senior living communities in 11 states; chairman of The Parking Spot, which owns and operates off-airport parking facilities in nine cities; chairman of the credit data company TransUnion and chairman of Pritzker Realty.  She also sits on the board of Global Hyatt and plays a role in numerous non-profit groups, including serving as chairman of the Olympic village portion of Chicago’s bid to win the 2016 Summer Games.

It is amazing how ignorant many FR posters are of how things work in Washington. If you pay Newt 300K a year, don’t expect more than a sit down dinner and a six page report. For Henry the K you will pay ten times that much for the same output. For Bill Clinton, a little less.

Just standard practice for the Democrats and Socialists and the MSM. Any successful candidate is inundated with accusations and slander until there is enough doubt in the body politic to ensure that the “correct” nominee is selected by the Republican party (one they can defeat). It doesn't always work, but the Chicago Machine is already in full operational mode.

At the same time the MSM that has little by little been infiltrated by the socialist intelligentsia covers for their candidate.

This has been standard practice by the Socialist Democrats. The whole OWS crowd is part of this same operation. The MSM selects the candidates and then continually polls to see if their message is being effective.

I don’t know if there is a link. I heard the interview myself and that’s what I recall he said, and Sean’s follow-up re-affirmed it.

Ah, the “they all do it defense”. Well that makes it ok, then?

The point with Newt is that he is part of the arrogant and politically elite cabal that eventually allowed a Usurping Marxist to occupy the WH. His arrogance is demonstrated by his explanation of his appearing with Pelosi on a love seat in a pro-global warming ad as “inexplicable”.

The man wants to be US president and can’t [refuses] to explain that idiocy.

MSNBCPolitico is in all out attack mode on every GOP candidate except two. Romney and Huntsman....wonder why. The fourth branch of government is the most corrupt of them all.

Amen to that. It appears most real conservatives are not being taken in by Newt, Perry and Romney—despite what the polls are claiming. At this point I’ve given up on polls as any kind of reliable indicator. Fundraising is the only barometer that counts.

It’s absolutely essential that we continue to send money to Cain. It’s the only way to beat back the RINO/Marxist demrat hijacking of our country.
