Occupy Encampment At UC Berkeley Torn Down

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Authorities have cleared an encampment set up by Occupy protesters on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley.

Police in riot gear conducted a raid on the encampment around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, removing about 20 tents and arresting two protesters. Television footage showed a bulldozer moving into the area after the raid.

I dunno, was kinda hoping this would go on for another couple months, to the point where NOBODY supported these jerks. Still, a bulldozer is nice...!

Then again, that question couldn't be answered cohesively at the Occupy Wall Street protest either.

Yes, I could see the protesters protesting in the city of Berkeley. But why would the “occupy” crowd protest at Berkley? It doesn't make any sense.

They were probably protesting there because it was close to them. They don’t seem to be the type to go to very much trouble for anything.
