Occupy Wall Street: A bloody man (Fight with the police and get a bloody face)
washington post ^ | 11/18/2011 | Elizabeth Flock

Hundreds of people were arrested during violent clashes between police and Occupy Wall Street protesters in New York this week. Among those injured was Brandon, a 19-year-old Romanian-American protester, captured in the image below, bloodied after a conflict with the police.

Just days before, Brandon had been on the Occupy march from New York to D.C. On Monday he left to return to Zuccotti Park, supposedly to support fellow protesters being evicted from the park.

New footage shows Brandon, who identified himself as “Brandon Blood” to me but as “Brandon Watts” to AFP, being beaten to the ground by police officers in Zuccotti Park. He is believed to have suffered a fractured skull after being hit with a baton to the head.

Police need to bring in the dogs and horses and use them. Don’t have them sitting around the edges.

I would love to know who the Washington Post knows this dude was bloodied by the NYPD? Are they taking his word for it?
Surely there has to be video of this beating, right?
I saw a video of him last night and to me it looked as if he was knocked to the ground and was being stepped on and the NYPD helped him up to his feet.

I strongly suspect that Obama's "stimulus" funds are playing a part in this.

A recent survey of Occupy Wall Street members by Hector R. Cordero-Guzman, Ph.D, of the School of Public Affairs at New York’s Baruch College, sheds new light on who they are:

Young (64.2 percent are under 34), well educated, white (81.3 percent) and male (67 percent). Only half are employed full-time. Over 70 percent say they are independents politically, 27 percent are Democrats, 2.5 percent are Republicans. (Courtesy of ABC News)

there you have it, mostly young white guys with education but only half employed.
I’m sure they come from upper middle class homes.

Public masturbation, rape, theft, disease, obscene language, hatred for the country that affords them liberties and a standard of life few in the world can boast; this is the mantra of the 99%? It’s nothing more than opportunistic anarchy. If you want to institute real change, then do so in a responsible and positive manner. There are avenues available to those seeking respectable change. If you think corporations are violating your rights, take them to court. But they probably aren’t or you would have done so. If you don’t approve of corporate tax breaks, vote for politicians who will amend the tax codes. If you still don’t like a company, don’t buy their products, don’t buy their stock, don’t work for them. Otherwise, they don’t owe you a damn thing; you owe yourself!

Whether they make one dollar or a billion dollar profit is moot. That’s their God given right. It’s called work...risk...reward. Still feel slighted? Go out and start your own damn business. How is their success stopping you from pursuing the life of your choosing? There are legitimate travesties in the world and then there is juvenile jealousy and backwards political agendas. You simply cannot legislate the poor into equality by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. America is predicated of freedom, self reliance and accountability. Somehow envy, wealth redistribution, and excuses were left out of the preamble of the Constitution. Bummer. Congrats on confirming life is unfair. You can either hide behind obstacles and excuses, or you can do all in your power to succeed. Only one has a future.

Many years ago, I taught my young daughters how to shoot a pistol and a rifle and where to find my guns if they ever needed one. I also taught them how to punch a guy’s nose if the occasion arose, because men can’t stand the sight of blood - their own blood, that is!!

They never needed the knowledge, but I consider it good insurance.

Be careful what you wish for Brandon.

"...there you have it, mostly young white guys..."

So who are the Black men who are so vociferous with their vile hateful language? Part of the Communist Party USA or part of the Nazi Party USA....both are backing this now blatantly factious and anarchists mob. Our leaders (?) are so politically correct they are allowing laws to be broken; they cower like frighten mice, afraid to enforce law for fear of losing a vote and unable to quell riots........

I read in the NY Post that the guy was resisting arrest and hit his head on a curb.

If he was really struck in the head with a baton then that is a serious problem for NYPD. At least in the federal law enforcement world a baton strike to the head, spine, or groin is considered deadly force. Baton strikes are supposed to be targeted to the extremities, and specifically to the large muscle masses when able.

I don't think this will turn out to be any more truthful than the protestor that supposedly died when he got hit by a car in Oakland, or the suicide at Occupy Burlington who was purported to be a vet when he was a 2nd week basic washout.
