Ron Paul with Sean Hannity discussing the economy and the election. Paul talks about the lack of attention he receives, if he is not ignored altogether. Paul says he and his staff were "annoyed" by the fact that he only received 89 seconds to speak at the last Republican debate.

Paul warned his Republican colleagues in the Congress that they better keep their pledge to not raise taxes. He says if they do "capitulate" on taxes then people will make them pay.

"I have no intention of doing that," Paul says of a third-party run if he doesn't get the Republican nomination. However, when asked several times by Hannity to rule out an independent bid, he would not.

"Lots of them don't like him."

A solid majority of local, state, and federal employees are democrats, and they like big government (no surprise there). Yes, they have a vested interest in continuing the growth of governement, and of course they don't like Ron Paul or anyone else who advocates for making government smaller.

The conflict arrises when any of these bureaucrats have power over the election process.

I saw a poll where Paul would draw 18% of the vote if it was Romney/Obama. Extrapolate that out and its curtains for Romney.

The is a conservative libertarian.

Also, Ron Paul is the only one that will end this military madness, militarism is big government and the military spending is the biggest spending.

What will it be a fiscal conservative if you support all this partying with the neoconservatives and the Big MIC(Military Industrial Complex)?

When he becomes a Republican he can complain. Until then he should just shut up. Why he is even allowed to attend the debates is the question.

“Libertarianism is more closely aligned to liberalism than conservatism.”

Not even CLOSE to true. The libertarian philosophy espoused by Dr. Paul and MANY others reflects much, if not MOST of the Founders’ philosophy: INDIVIDUAL liberty, INDIVIDUAL responsibility, INDIVIDUAL morality (and an INDIVIDUAL relationship with God). The sanctity of ALL human life from conception being the cornerstone of that philosophy, SELF-OWNERSHIP being its capstone. If you do NOT own yourself, why would you have (or “need” or be allowed to have) an ABSOLUTE RIGHT to protect and defend your life?

Yes, to one who’s been washed in the Blood, the Pink Slip to our lives is given over to our Redeemer, but we maintain the responsibility for its maintenance and care. Which is why people like you baffle me with your utter and complete INCONSISTENCY in your proclaimed philosophy, if what you profess to live by could rightly be called that. Yours appears to be much more aligned with the collectivists than that of Ron Paul and his self-aware, GROWNUP supporters.

Ron Paul’s fans never vote the GOP ticket in the general anyway.

They either vote fringe party or for the Democrat.

On ronpaulforums and dailypaul, they were boasting about their Obama votes to each other in ‘08. That’s what the GOP “got” for not nominating Ron Paul.

Paul keeps moving further left. If he ran an Indy campaign, I’m beginning to believe he would pull more votes from the left than from the right. Though he would still end up with his 6-8% he always gets.

I’m happy RP has been treated this way. He is not a Republican. He’s a Libertarian who just knows his chances at an indy win are slim. This is a REPUBLICAN primary and he has no business being here!

Ron Paul will never garner the GOP nod, therefore he is siphoning. He knows it. The only people who don’t seem to know it are his supporters. If they were to stay home, it would be better all around.

Ron Paul supporters will stay home if he doesn't get the nomination. They are libertarians and would not be voting in the Republican primaries if it weren't for Paul.
