Newt Gingrich Will Fight The Media That Has Him In Its Sights
Investors ^ | Nov. 18, 2011 | DOUGLAS MACKINNON

What Mr. Gingrich understands better than any is that now it is his turn to be the GOP duck in the mainstream media shooting gallery. If anything, the compromised and unethical members of the Fourth Estate will go after him harder than they did Bachmann, Perry or Cain.

Why? Because he has dared to call them out for their liberal bias and simplistic and inane questions during the debates.

Not only is Gingrich right to take on the mainstream media but many conservatives are taking note of the tactic and are rallying to his cause. As well they should.

Well, this article was almost too embarrassing to post.

The author seems to think that Gingrich’s record has nothing to do with any pushback he is or will receive from the media (or from some conservatives, for that matter).

In fact, looks to me that considering Gingrich’s unbelievably target-rich (in media terms) record, the LSM is going pretty easy on him so far.

The same can be said about Romney.

Reject the RINOs.

I think the media will figure out that the more they go after him the stronger he gets. Then they will back off.

Remember Reagan? Not that Newt is up to that level. Newt can take flack and throw it back.

No question in my mind the the media is intellectually, ethically and morally bankrupt. Then there are the enablers here on Free Republic who will gleefully go after any candidate other than there own, doing the msm and the dimoKKKRAT parties work for them in spreading the lies, innuendos and deceits about the Republican candidates.

Look, last week Gingrich told Iowans where he was stumping that one of his first acts a President would be to “reach out to Democrats.”

You know who are the Democrats?

The Democrats INCLUDE THE MSM.

We know that. Newt knows that. Newt knows that better than we know that.

Anyone who thinks a President Gingrich is going to whup up on reporterettes the way he has on debate moderators needs to rethink the meaning of “reach out to Democrats.”

This is not a politically benign phrase with Newt.

I am still waiting for someone, anyone to take a stab at this question as to Newt ( # 110 ):

Does anyone want to answer the question as to why they think Gingrich’s work for Freddie Mac can be brushed off as saying nothing about his political instincts?

Just the fact that he is honest about the media, calls them on it, and can back it up is one reason for his support.

Nobody else is able to put them in their place. Yet.

A good portion of "Gingrich's record" Is based on allegations that were made by the MSM when he was speaker. Be sure to filter out specious charges when evaluating the fitness of republican candidates.

One of these candidates is going to be charged with challenging Obama next year and we should be careful not to poison our own. Unless that is actually your intention.

I like Newt , he is razor sharp , will cut any of these jerks to peices. I absolutely LOVE that , hes the man that should be POTUS, however I would vote for anyone that is the one that can beat the Fraud in chief, but Newt is the most qualified.

Much easier for the pundits, commentators, guests to throw their vicious barbs when sitting behind a camera than having the guts to interview the person face to face. Ask some of the FNC staff from this weekend.

It is difficult to pinpoint why he’s doing so well and why so many people are happy about it. He’s a heavy, divorced twice, at times enviro-nutty, mean man.

I can only conclude that so many people don’t care - but so many people DO care that he is not slashing the other repubs, he is saying the problem is obama and the leftist policies, he is fighting back when the media plays their shat.

Most of these articles deal with the same issue, the Obamacare fiasco. I am against it too.
But, it is only one issue, why do you list it four times? To make it look like more?
Newt is not my favorite, I wanted Palin, because of her support of the energy issue and because she is a fighter. Now I am just looking for anyone who can unseat Obama and turn the country around.
My concern is that if we kneecap all of the challengers, Obama will use the media and his billion dollars to win another four years.
Direct your fire at the other side.
