Obama Bad-mouths America Abroad —Again
IBD ^ | November 18, 2011 | IBD

Leadership: The president is at it again, bad-mouthing the U.S. abroad. Last week he told Australians that our kids are "behind" in education and that the solution is —what else? —more government spending. Let's unpack that.

To start, normal presidents don't go around to other countries telling the locals that their country's schoolchildren are underachievers. Not Obama. "A lot of poor children don't get the support they need when they're very young," Obama told a roomful of inquiring students down under. "So by the time they get to grammar school, they're behind."

From that, Australians can only take home the message that American students are slow-witted and that admiration for U.S. education is misplaced.

It's part of a pattern he has, of going abroad, calling American CEOs "lazy," bowing to despots, and delivering one "blame America first" apology after another.

But more to the point, Obama's bad-mouthing of U.S. kids smacks of domestic politics by repeating the tiresome complaint that U.S. taxpayers aren't shelling out enough for an education system that is already loaded.

It’s not Obama’s fault that he didn’t grow up to be a normal president. He probably wasn’t reared properly.....Oh, I think he was reared properly by the King of Saudi Arabia (paid for his education, one of his fathers (avowed communist) and his mother (communist, but who knows what else and his acquaintenants (Bill Ayres, Chicago politicians, etc.)

Conservative president = we may stand a chance
RINO president = slow, painful poisoning
The Obammunist = bullet to the head

I'm not into prolonging agony.

This election is the Pubbies' to lose. They can win it by nominating a conservative (drafting Sarah Palin?), or lose it by nominating a Pubbie like Mutt Romney. If the Pubbies can't hit a 5-yard shot from a benchrest, a slam dunk, or a two-inch putt like this, then they're hopeless. It's time to get ready to shuffle the deck.

Obama's bad-mouthing of U.S. kids smacks of domestic politics by repeating the tiresome complaint that U.S. taxpayers aren't shelling out enough for an education system that is already loaded.

In 2010, Barack Obama called for fixing the public education system by giving us the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and “Race to the Top”, which he said would fix the education system already fixed by the 2001 GW Bush and Ted Kennedy legislation called “No Child Left Behind,” which was supposed to fix a system supposedly already fixed by a 1994 piece of federal legislation called “Goals 2000,” which was supposed to fix a system already fixed by America 2000,” which was a 1991 response during the Bush administration to a 1983 federal report on education called “A Nation at Risk, which was published a full four years after Jimmy Carter fixed the nation’s public school system by first establishing a cabinet-level Department of Education in 1979.

I am all for a Conservative Candidate being our Nominee. If I didn't believe that I wouldn't be here.

Since we go through a Primary process, that may or may not happen. I was addressing what happens after the Primaries.

A RINO President is not what I want, but abandoning the Republican Nominee to make an example of the Party will insure that the SCOTUS will go against everything we believe as Conservatives for at least a Generation.

There will be no tipping point if Obama is reelected, the Republic will be an empty shell and will not recover in our lifetimes.

If people don't see that there is nothing else to say.

McCain is a progressive, we see his colors more everyday. In the last election (2010) he ran commercials showing he cared about the border. He has not taken a stand against fast and furious, seems more concerned about Libya and its people, than his own state.

Today Rush reminded listeners, McCain called people Hobbits that did not go along with the Debt commission.

NO RINOs!, globalists or fake Conservatives.

Wasn’t there a recent study that suggested our kids were only “behind” if we included illegals, foreign born and inner-city students??

I've said since before last November's election that this will be the Pubbies' race to lose. If after four years of the Obammunist, and two years of Peloser-Reid congressional tyranny before that, and eight years of liberal RINOism starting in 2001, the Pubbies can't nominate a conservative, then they deserve to lose. If after the debacle of the 2008 election, the Pubbies don't see the stupidity of nominating yet another liberal RINO, then they deserve to lose.

I quit holding my nose after 1996, and won't start back now. If the Pubbies nominate a liberal RINO and get their a**es handed to them again, they will have no one but themselves to blame. They were warned.
