An ad from the Mitt Romney presidential campaign is drawing criticism from the White House and other political observers, saying it takes the president out of context.
The ad attacks the president's handling of the economy, showing footage from an Obama rally cut with images of closed businesses and foreclosed homes.
But the part of the ad drawing the most criticism is when it shows Obama saying: "If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose." It gives the impression that Obama doesn't want to talk about the state of the economy.
But in fact, Obama was quoting the campaign of Sen. John McCain during the last presidential race. In full, he said: "Sen. McCain's campaign actually said, and I quote, 'If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose.'"
According to an analysis of the ad by The Associated Press...

They have a very short memory and many and most of Obummer’s sound bites will be used in 2012. Thats why he needs a billion dollars to drown out the opposition.

I seem to remember Newt having a statement re Medicare being taken out of context, but I don't remember the Leftists showing any restraint in using the doctored audio in their commercials. Tough luck, commies.

John King was having a near breakdown on CNN over this.
Earlier this evening , he was ranting and raving and carrying on
in near hysteria over the ad.

This angst is a rather stupid tactic, IMO. He just likes to give
the appearance of a thin skinned ninny when he's actually hard nosed. This is just more Chicago political street fighting with him choosing to play the victim
this time. He isn't phased one bit!
(though it
is an admission, which
should be exploited, of where he knows he's weak)
On the one hand we have the LSM a few days ago playing games with Cain and his "edited pause" on Libya and not a peep was heard about it being wrong.
On the other hand we have NOT-POTUS crying foul that he's been unduly edited and the LSM have a hissy fit.
