Popular two-term Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) is set to endorse Mitt Romney Wednesday morning in Iowa, the second major endorsement from the Senate for the former Massachusetts governor this week.
"Mitt Romney has shown throughout his life in the private sector, as leader of the Olympics, as governor and in this campaign that he will not back down from difficult challenges," Thune said in a statement. "Washington could use these common sense principles at such a critical time."

“Washington could use these common sense principles at such a critical time.”
What are Romney’s common sense principles? The only principle I know of that he has, that he hasn’t changed his position on, is Romneycare.
John, Don’t send us anymore pictures of your family, and requesting donations for your campaigns. Thanks in advance.
This is insane!
For the GOP elite, the writing is on the wall. Romney is the nominee ... and I’ve been predicting “conservative” Gingrich as the front-running VP.

His main 'principle' is that he wants to be president to fulfill his father dream.
Everything else is secondary.
Too bad. I always thought better of Thune. He must be hoping to get a job as Veep or Cabinet
Yea probably VP. Screw him.
No, seriously did Romney actually do that???
And if that turns out to be the case, my worst nightmares will come true
Even my dead mother-in-law is not going to send Thune money any more! Now if I can only get her to stop voting Democrat! ;-)
he will not back down from difficult challenges,”

at 65 Williard Mitt Romney has not had any “difficult challenges” in his whole life...
Born into a rich family, a child of privilege, Romney has had everything handed to him
or has been backed by a team of experts to do his bidding and do it for him and also backed by hundreds of BILLIONS of available funds...
Wheres the challenges...the personal ones I mean...
He had his college paid for by Daddy...
His wife was picked out and courted by Dady...
He never fought in the jungles of Vietnam
He never suffered like other Evangalical Mormon boys...
Never worked at McDonalds...
Never lived paycheck to paycheck...
Never worried about the needs of his family...
Never had to stand on his own two feet..
Never had a self inflicted crisis that Daddy didnt fix..
Oh and as for the “backing down from difficult challenges”
If being a TWO TIME DRAFT DODGER and refusing to fight for your country is not “backing down from difficult challenges” I dont know what is...
Better men than Romney went to Vietnam...
Thune’s a surprise...didn’t see that one coming...
Just like a leaky faucet, the RINOs will slowly line up behind Willard.
Ayotte and Thune recently. Look for Noem, McCain, Kyl etc. soon.
No surprise here.
I’ve been posting this list of elites for some time now.

Ayotee I can understand, but I expect Thune, and other insiders..to hold off coming out for Mitt until after the NH primary. Mitt will get a small plurality at best..he can’t even get a WIN in NH..
John Thune just moved way down my list for future consideration. RomneyCare is completely unacceptable, and Mitt Romney is completely unacceptable. If John Thune thinks Romney is tolerable, then Thune is not someone I ever want to support in the future.
The establishment must be getting nervous. Mittns was supposed to be at about 45% by now and leaving the others in the dust.
