Actually, most of who criticize backstabbing establishment slime like Newt have told you over and over again about OTHER candidates that would be perfectly acceptable for the nomination, like Michele Bachmann. I think napscoordinator has mentioned over and over again on multiple threads -- including this one -- that Cain, Bachmann, or Santorum would be a good nominee. I'm in total agreement with naps. Fieldmarshaldj rattled off a list of a dozen or so excellent candidates that could have been drafted to run, like Allen West, Clarence Thomas, etc., and would be far preferable to dopes like Perry and Newt.
For some odd reason though, the RINO apologists on this board simply ignore it when we list which other candidates are acceptable. A few months ago you said we were "purists" who would destroy ANY candidate not named "Sarah Palin" (and last time I checked, that ain't Herman Cain's name). Then we were all accused for being Ron Paul "purists". Now we're supposedly all Cain-or-bust fanatics. If you're going to constantly lie and accuse us of being a personality cult that will only accept "ONE" candidate, at least make up your mind who that one that candidate is.

Obama's wacko hate group church had the same clip of Jeremiah Wright played hundreds of times on the news, but McCain decided to just drop it and avoid all mention of it during the general election. That was a mistake. A lot of voters tune out and are not aware of a candidate's awful record no matter how many times it is repeated. Newticals have even done a good job scrubbing the Internet of all his pimping for Dede Scozzafava. It is our job to keep this in the news CONSTANTLY until conservatives stop buying the "Newt is a tea party conservative" kool-aid. So get used to it.

I don't remember "the same" freepers calling Bachmann a RINO and establishment suckup. They'd look pretty silly if they did given her well known record of butting heads with the powers that be in the GOP. Some Perry supporters went after Cain with the fraudlent "sexual harassment" B.S. because they were bitter about their guy's big government, open borders record being exposed, but it certainly wasn't "the same" people who went after the liberals. Just desperate Perrybots who though tearing down Cain would somehow get people to support Perry again. Instead, now we're stuck with an even worse candidate, Newt.

You seem to be confusing us with the other side on this forum, the freepers totally in the tank for frauds like Trump, Perry, and Newt. It was their bots who insisted over and over again that THEIR candidate, and that person ALONE, was "the ONLY electable conservative", and "the ONLY man with the guts to go after Obama". It was those freepers who screamed that everyone else was an Obama supporter if we announced we wouldn't vote for their boy in the primary. Take up your grievances with them.

I could care less who you choose to support if the GOP nominates a terrible candidate. I hate to break the news to you, but alot of us live in states where the outcome is predetermined. Those of us in Illinois and California know the national party won't even lift a finger to try and win our state no matter who the GOP nominee is, and those in safe states like Tennessee and Texas know that Obama stands zero chance of winning their state no matter how bad the GOP candidate is. Thus, we're under no obligation to vote for a turd like Newt because our vote will not effect the outcome of the general election. Last time around I held my nose and voted for McCain just to support Palin. I make no guarantee's that will happen this time. I'm reluctant to support scumbags no matter how good their running mate is.
The bottom line is that we're against these open-borders, big government frauds precisely BECAUSE we want to beat Obama. You nominate a scumbag like Newt that millions of Americans -- whether Republicans, Democrats, or independents -- simply CANNOT tolerate the man and hate his guts -- and you give Obama an enormous advantage in November.
