You can also email ( check their website ) the ‘Sierra bulletsmiths’ ( they do reply back soon ) and ask for a recommendation for any cal/bullet/brass/primer/powder combo. It doesn't have to be their bullets, they are happy to help.
Those guys are smart and really stay up on both new and old loads.

Not me. I don’t have any guns. They are evil and not needed for anything just like the govt. says.

It does look like a model 66. I have one of the originals with the cylinder recesses in 2.5in. Great for shooting at night when a flash is needed to take a quality picture at the same time!

“In our Argentinian future, I predict that the .22 LR round will be the new dollar bill.”
Cabelas has been having spectacular sales on some of the better .22 bulk ammo. I have seen the Federal 36 grain HP high velocity 375 round bulk pack on sale for $9.99. That is only 2.6 cents a round. Reviews of the Federal ammo have been quite good. The Cabelas sale seems to be an on again, off again type of thing. I have seen it on for several weeks of the last three months.
I purchased several thousand rounds as I used up the last of the Remington Peters .22 that I bought about 1980. Thirty year old .22 ammo worked great.

Is that an original TT-33 there bottom right, or a Type 54?
Where did you get it?
Nice collection, BTW.

To me, it looks like a Colt 1903 in .32 or .380.

*** what do you think is a good home protection fire arm *** That's a question with no 'right' answer. As its all dependent on 'you'.
For some it'll be a 12ga Pump Shotgun, while to others that would be the 100% wrong weapon. Ditto on a .45 Auto, or any semi-auto handgun for that matter. It gets down to:
- Age
- Physical condition.
- Stature: height, weight, and even hand size.
- Male of Female.
- Location
and...
- Familiarity with Firearms
Then when that's determined you have to get into the ammunition used for that 'right' weapon for
you.
A GOOD Gun Shop with certified instructors and/or knowledgeable salesmen can help in all the above. Plus, read all you can on Firearms of every type. (Tons of info at your fingertips.)
A big honking 'Hand Cannon' will do you zero good if you can't hit your target with it. Or if a 12ga Shotgun will knock you on your behind from the recoil. Or if you drop them after the 1st shot from your Arthritis.
