Who says they would have to? We DO have plenty of candidates telling us they would like to enforce the law. Just because Newt is a quitter, and so are you, doesn’t mean the rest of us are. That’s really all you have to do to solve the problem. It’s a false thing to say “well, you have to deport ALL the illegals, your plan has to be perfect!” Well, no, it doesn’t, we just have to enforce the law, secure the borders, and move on with our lives. FYI, illegals will self-deport once we get serious.

Quitter? You don't have a clue of what you are talking about. Newt is all for securing the borders and enforcing the laws. YOU are the one who wants a perfect plan, but there is none, so you bash on Newt simply because he is willing to talk about the topic honestly. YOU are not. YOU are a blowhard. And saying "illegals will self-deport once we get serious" applies to Newt's plan as well as anyone else's who is serious about securing the border. If you believe your candidate (whoever it is) is going to do house-to-house searches looking for illegals that came here 25 years ago and have been working, raising a family, and not committing crimes since then, you are a naive fool and idiot. NOBODY is going to do that. You may want that to happen, but it is NOT going to happen. Period. Grow up. Be an adult. So, what IS your plan for those people? And if your knee-jerk avoidance is to prattle "self-deportation", don't want the time it will take you to peck that out on your keyboard.

WRONG. I don’t want a perfect plan. I just don’t want amnesty for any illegal alien. The plans I do support have been shown to be effective and don’t require Newt’s forgiveness of crimes. And I think my position is shared by quite a few around here and has been repeated multiple times. You simply refuse to accept the possibility that maybe we just don’t want amnesty and have no reason to accept it.

And yes, it is bloody amnesty, it is the forgiveness of their crimes against the United States and allowing them to stay in the country. It’s amnesty. And the terms are so loose and meaningless that i’ll give this amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, and inevitably they’ll have citizenship as well. Just more games. More sophistry. More same old same old. I’m not buying it and neither are most conservatives who remember the Bush era debates.
