Jonboy - We Mormons stood “side-by-side” with other Christians to fight for passage of Prop 8 and other conservative causes and during that time no one called us members of a cult or that we were not Christian (a/k/a “going straight to hell”). However, after the victories were won, and when it became convenient, many of these so-called Christians turned on us.

So don’t talk to me about standing side-by-side and all that drivel. If you really want to know what we believe go to www.lds.org or www.mormon.org.

Those who worship the anti Mormon god - by that I mean those who are obsessed with trashing me and my faith - have been semi successful in silencing us by their dog-pile strategies.

Most of the members of the LDS faith have been banned from posting here. There are only a couple of us left.

The dog pile continues . . .

For threats of law suits and violence against other F.R. members.

Saundra Duffy - do you really believe that we have short memories?

No dog pile here. I'm not against you but against your founder and his doctrines. And frankly I'm against any thought process that will cling to a belief against any and ALL evidence.

Your whole religion stands or falls on one thing, truth.

Joseph Smith claimed divine inspiration for the claim that American Indians were descended from Israel. If he is wrong on JUST THIS ONE ISSUE any and ALL other "divinely inspired scripture" from the Book of Mormon or any of the other so-called "inspired" works becomes null and void.

It doesn't take long AT ALL to find devastating and conclusive evidence against his claims.

SOURCE HERE

LDS researchers compare existing genetic evidence with the Book of Mormon story

Mormon researchers such as anthropologist Thomas W. Murphy (who is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, henceforth LDS) and former-LDS and molecular biologist Simon Southerton state that the substantial collection of Native American genetic markers now available are not consistent with any detectable presence of ancestors from the ancient Middle East, and argued that this poses substantial evidence to contradict the account in the Book of Mormon. Both Murphy and Southerton have published their views on this subject.

What has the DNA from native Americans proven? There is no Semitic tie to Israel.

THIS disproves your whole religion in the same way that disproving the virgin birth or the resurrection would negate the WHOLE Christan religion. NONE can be true unless the first be established.

"We Mormons stood “side-by-side” with other Christians to fight for passage of Prop 8..."

Given the torrid history of "marriage" in the breakaway LDS sect of mromonism, you should have had the honor to stay away. You turned the whole debate into "gay marraige vs hypocritical polygamists." You were less helpful than Fred Phelps and his clan would have been.
