Two weeks after a mysterious explosion at an Iranian missile base, a Washington-based research group has released a satellite image showing extensive damage to the site.

The image of the compound, near the city of Malard, doesn’t provide any clues as to what caused the Nov. 12 explosion, which Iranian authorities described as an “accident” involving the transport of ammunition. But it does make clear that the facility has been effectively destroyed.

Not the Isphahan site from today, but the one from a couple of weeks ago.

Looks like professionals were in charge.

...yeah, let’s take this with a grain of salt. I think when the Israelis stand down, it’ll be for sure.

I can see this being a propaganda move by: Iran, or Hussein, or maybe just an accident.

No doubt Hussein will take credit for it if possible...he wants to show the world he is “tough”, yet sensitive...

Israel apparently has the most cunningly brilliant team of saboteurs ever assembled on the ground there. God Bless and Godspeed.

When performing work with missiles, there are a variety of “volatile processes” that could cause an explosion, Brannan said.

You don't say...

Yes, it is not smart to check a wire by grounding it.

Maybe the Israelis have this unbelievable secret weapon that can cause this amount of damage, and they were sending the Iranians a warning.

Here’s the recipe:

Stuxnet 2.0
Real Time Control
One spy monitoring the facility for important visitors

Mix well and push the button at just the right time.

Just a preview of what is in store for those who call for the destruction of 'the apple of God's eye'.

Zechariah 12:6 In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place—Jerusalem.

I was looking for some perspective to see how big the complex is. Assume those ting roads are 30’ wide. Considering the debris craters to the south and north, I estimate an initial blast radius of about 300’. That levels everything in a 600’ diameter with structural damage extending out beyond that. That is one hell of an explosion.

It also appears some of the clean up had started before the photos were taken. So it's hard to effectively analyze where the epicenter(s) may have been. I can't see a crater. But you can see some pockmarked earth where large debris presumably landed. Damaged buildings 1000’ away? I don't think we have anything conventional that would suggest it was a missile strike. But I am not an expert (just an engineer).

I expect a lot of people were killed depending on the timing.

I wonder if they had “No Smoking” signs posted in the munitions storage facility.

I’d bet it was an inside job.
More than a few Iranians want an end to this...
