Cain supporters driving by this thread to throw eggs and spitballs in 3...2...1.....
I trust Newt about as far as I could throw him.
I don’t trust Mitt enough to let him out of my grasp.
Hang in there Herman!
read the source data: 500 and change likely voters - not republican primary voters .... POS push poll. really..... Dems really like Newt.
What a sorry group of candidates to challenge the worst president in U.S. history.
its amazing watching how people can be manipulated by media ‘propaganda polls’.
a semi-competent pollster could make a poll result in granny’s parakeet “soaring” in Florida with 41%.
the actual primary result on Jan. 31, 2012 won’t even be close to this nonsense.
Amazing that ‘Cain is done’, but sitting only 4 behind Romney who has not even received any flak yet. Romney is just not palatable option. Zero excitement level for a candidate is never the formula for victory.
the media really is running the republican primary this year. they let a candidate build up, then knock him down, let another build up, etc. Want to bet the nominee is the one they are going to leave at 20% the entire time until the end - romney?
Newt is a MILLION times better than Obama....
GREAT news!!!!!
AND the DOW is up 424......
Newt is leaving the pack in the dust..... he’s going all the way!!
*SIGH*
In the long term, it looks like we’re not going to get a hard core conservative.
In the short term, we’re going to get to see 18 billion threads on FR where people fight over tiny differences between Newt and Perry or between one of them and Mittens.
I need to lie down.
ok ...all these polls are lying...aren’t they always lying when freepers disagree with them but they are solid gold when they do
in 2008, Chet (zot) and I told folks insistently that when all the polls run in a trend they are not all “lies”.
Folks here think it’s still Dewey time. It’s not, polls are relatively accurate when taken as an aggregate.
Frankly I wish it were not so since it can preempt elections a bit with media trotting them out
Newt is hugely flawed, as a human being and candidate. But he’s smart, and knows how the system works. If Romney’s the nominee we’re screwed. With Newt we might be pleasantly surprised, especially if the base holds his feet to the fire.
In my opinion Newt cannot win the general election.
I say this even though I like him.
Anyone but Obama, anyone...
although this weekend seems derailing for the Cain Train, i will continue to support him in hopes that the suspension of his campaign means that he will be back.
his anti-establishment nature is best suited with my beliefs, and though he may have dallied, i feel that he will and is still the best chance to defeat obama and right this political shift away from the core beliefs of american capitalism.
flame away.
i am still on the Cain Train.
