Via the Right Scoop, I encourage you to watch the interview if you missed it last night or read the transcript. Heres the sort of uncalled for, out-of-left-field word grenade that Bret Baier was lobbing at poor defenseless Mitt Romney:
BAIER: About your book, you talk about Massachusetts healthcare. Weve heard you many times, in the debates and interviews, talk about how it is different in your mind than the presidents healthcare law, Obamacare. The question is, do you still support the idea of a mandate? Do you believe that that was the right thing for Massachusetts? Do you think a mandate, mandating people to buy insurance is the right tool?
Romneys reply: Bret, I dont know how many hundred times Ive said this, too. This is an unusual interview. Actually, if theres any criticism to be made of Baiers questioning, I think thats it not that the questions were uncalled for but that they were a little too called for because they cut right to the heart of conservatives concerns about Romney. Hes been asked this stuff a thousand times on the trail. But the repetition is inevitable and even necessary when hes stuck at 25 percent in the polls with Iowa 34 days away. Theres a reason for that, and Baiers giving him a chance to address it. Another example:

Romney is a piece of $hit...dog dung...horse poop...cow manure...hay and oats, used once.
His reluctance to engage in questions relating to his “$hit stance” on questions is becoming of his hon-eligibility for the office.
“the world belongs to BOR...the rest of us are mere props....he must be Obamas white(Irish) half...” <<
Very well said! Love the “white Irish half”! It is so infuriating to have to deal with Bill O’Reilly. My tolerance for him is in ashes.
Baier is a solid journalist, and always fair.
Mittens hates conservatives and he can’t even hide it with Bret. Bret was uppity with the “smart” Rino who led the way to Obammycare. Bret, obviously, does not know his place. Rinos trying to look skeery!
Only if he gets the nomination.
Looking back on the interview, Mitt's limited pleasing/engaging facial expressions do look like something from West World.
When it was Juan's turn, he said almost as much, hitting like three points I had made myself. Then Jonah Goldberg piled on and agreed with Juan, that it had been a terrible interview for Romney.
Romney, almost right from the start was antagonistic toward Bret, for no reason. He was nervous, he had no specifics, he was a cardboard cut out of a a candidate.
Romney MUST NOT BE our nominee.
Wow . That's what you take from the interview. Were his pant creases perfect as well?
I was also thinking of Martin Short when I was watching the interview!
How liberal professor-esque.
How did we end up in this situation?
Has the GOP utterly lost all sense?
No, Mitt’s claim that if he were all about political expediency he’d have flopped on Romneycare is not a good point, since he knows well that the biggest beef people had with him from 2008 was his flip-flopping.
Milt is as phony as a Mormon three dollar bill. ... Oh wait, there really were Momron three dollar bills. Make that Mormon nine dollar bills.
I saw the interview. He looked terrible. He looked wild-eyed and nervous the whole time. And when Brett Baird started questioning him on Romneycare, he noticeably squirmed in his chair. He was definitely very uncomfortable with this interview. He had to actually answer position questions. But when he started denying what he said in a 2007 video regarding immigration, that took the cake.
And then Brett questioned the panel of Charles Krauthammer, Juan Williams, and Johah Goldberg about the interview. Krauthammer said how good an interview it was, and when Juan Williams dared to disagree with him on something Romney said, I thought he was going to come out of his wheelchair to strangle Juan. He is definitely a Romney-bot.
I enjoyed Brett’s interview with Romney, but did not enjoy Brett’s interview with the over-brearing pompous, arrogant BOR.
As in Mitt is trying (too hard) to look pleasing and engaging to the viewer (voter). Instead he ends up looking like a West World robot: politician bot. IMHO.
Much like Huntsman looks full of himself when he always cocks his head and raises his eyebrow while speaking: pompus politician bot.
No doubt about it. Krauthammer likes Willard.
I liked Jonah’s little dig about the Brooks Brothers tie.
Romney is scum!
