An additional $50 million is going toward treatment and medical facilities across the United States to help combat the AIDS virus, President Barack Obama announced Thursday during a Washington event marking World AIDS day.
"We are going to win this fight," Obama said. "But the fight's not over, not by a long shot."

Hope we win, and not like we almost “won” regarding syphillis, or AIDS multiple times.
I remember hearing lots about condoms and “safe sex” back in the mid ‘80s. I remember hearing that being responsible about sex activity was a key to fighting AIDS. I remember hearing that the “good” news about AIDS was that a big majority of cases were caused by the bad behaviors of the victims, and that condoms would help turn things around.
So what happened? Is there now a constitutional right to unsafe sex activity and IV drug use, so that we’re not allowed to talk about people being more responsible in their behavior to avoid AIDS? What’s really going on here??
Weird how we haven’t been celebrating AIDS day or hearing much about AIDS until now. I guess the homosexual community feels they’ve gotten just about everything on their agenda and it’s safe to bring the AIDS thing back.
Only because a few days ago Bono praised Bush for his work on AIDS in Africa.
