U.S. Congress enacts laws to hold civilians under indefinite military detention without trial

Daya Gamage – US National Correspondent Asian Tribune Washington, DC. 01 December, (Asiantribune.com):

Under Sections 1031and 1032 of the National Defense Authorization Act for the Fiscal Year 2012, the United States Congress has proposed to give the Department of Defense the explicit power to take civilians into military custody, detain them indefinitely with no charges or trial.

Well hidden in the 682-page long National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the Bill under the title ‘Detainee Matters’ has received tragically sparse coverage in the American national media, widely-read national newspapers and broadly-watched national television channels blocking the existence of this impending legislation described by rights organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) as a draconian piece of law.

So the junta is formally in place? Not hiding anymore or trying to be anything but patriotic?

Oh hell no, absolutely not legit.

I’m all for military detentions and tribunals. But you cannot just let someone rot in prison with no legal arrest, no indictment, no trial. Nothing is more unamerican.

I’m actually with the left on the idea that Guantanamo should have been shut down. But I think it should be shut down because it’s empty — all inmates having been found guilty or not guilty by a tribunal and executed or set free accordingly.

NO American citizen can be indefinitely detained without legal representation.

It looks like Senator Rand Paul was instrumental in getting this amendment defeated ~

END TIMES PING LIST PING.

Wellllllll, boys and girls, here we have another . . .

yet ANOTHER . . .

UNconspiracy . . .

I mean . . . it’s from the Congress—a really true bill passed by our unduly SElected legislators

doing their Marxist globalist best to continue shredding the Constitution.

So, obviously, this bit of true news can’t possibly have anything to do with conspiracy—given that it’s true.

This amendment was DEFEATED. Rand Paul was interviewed about it earlier tonight. They didn’t bring it up and change their votes did they??

There have certainly been any number of pols who would like nothing better than to possess this power; it’s not likely in the face of Supreme Court vigilence.

On the other hand...

Only 2 Republicans voted against indefinite detention without trial for American citizens. And 15-16 Democrats voted for.

I can’t reconcile this misleading article with another read earlier. Perhaps the Senate has acted to include this in their
Defense Authorization Act.But unless I am mistaken the Senate
version must still be reconciled to the House Bill on same
subject before one could legitimately claim the Congress has
enacted this police state morass.

The media believes obama is god, so of course they will support this.
