Herman Cain has a critical summit meeting Friday with a house leader. His house.
Cain is decamping back to Georgia for a sit-down with wife Gloria over the subject of Ginger White, the Atlanta woman who claims she was Cain’s mistress for over a decade, and he said the two will discuss the future of his struggling presidential campaign.
Cain is slated to open his national campaign headquarters in Atlanta on Saturday and, at least as of now, is expected to go through with it. But the lease had better be month-to-month.
White, appearing on MSNBC Thursday night, apologized to Gloria Cain and Cain’s children. (Watch video below.)
"I am not a cold-hearted person. I am a mother of two kids. And of course my heart bleeds for this woman because I am a woman and being in a situation like this cannot be fun," she said. "And I am deeply, deeply sorry if I have caused any hurt to her and to his kids, to his family. That was not my intention. I never wanted to hurt anyone and I'm deeply sorry. I am very sorry.”

So what? The proper response to all of that is “No Comment.”
Or maybe, just maybe, she could have called Herman Cain and given him a heads’ up about it, since White claims (and he confirms) that he helped her financially for 2.5 years.
But noooooo.... Instead, White lead Cain right into a media trap, by giving the media his cell number so they can text him directly.
She’s a user, and a whore. She says it wasn’t sex for money, but that’s exactly what it was. Sex for a trip to Vegas. Sex for a trip to here or there. Sex for a fun night out on the town. Sex for 2.5 years of financial support. That’s what dating is, that’s what this was (if the sex did actually happen).
Exactly. This blind, unquestioning allegiance to "our guy" borders on pathetic.
The guy may be guilty and he may have been framed. We don't know yet (although I have my strong suspicions). But the knee-jerk dismissals of the allegations and swarmy attempts to justify what is clearly suspicious behavior is in itself inexcusable.

When she first came forward, she said this about herself:
White admits she has struggled as a single mother, but added that her financial woes shouldn’t define her.“I don’t think that makes me out to be a bad person,” she told the station. “It makes me out to be one of the millions of people right now trying to keep a roof over their head.”
I wonder if somebody made her an offer she couldn't refuse to keep that roof over her head.

I just checked my texts for the month, and my billing cycle ends today. I’ve used 744 texts this month.
And it’s never “one a day” when you text. You are billed for the outgoing and the incoming text. So if White initiates a text, and it takes up 3 screens, that is 3 texts. Cain responds, that’s 4 texts. She replies with 2 more texts, that’s 6 texts. Cain responds, that’s 7. They each say “goodbye”, that’s 9 texts. And that is one very short text conversation, but it took 9 texts.
The actual record was:
October: 37 texts and 1 phone call
November: 46 texts and 0 phone calls
That could have been checking in once a week, for a 5-text back and forth (totalling 10 texts per contact).
Nothing about it says they had contact every day.
She was very candid in the video interview. she said flat out the affair was all about sex, there were no declarations of love.
I’ve never been able to figure that out either. I’ve had it explained to me by some who seem to think they know but some of the same people have to ask me what ten percent of one hundred is because they can’t do that complicated math without a calculator.

Believe me, fidelity is pretty darn uncommon.
Men are way too easily manipulated by women, especially when it comes to sex and money.

I think there is more duress to it than that based on her demeanor.
If it is true that she and Mr. Cain had an affair of any length, she should have asked God to forgive her and then asked Cain to forgive her for her part in the affair. She should NOT have gone public with a very private matter. It would then be up to Cain to make it right with his wife.
I have zero emotional tie to Herman Cain. And when you can answer questions about people you don’t know we’ll call you Criswell.
Just because G-d knows (and knew and will know) the result of every human decision, does not negate the concept of free will.
