I could be wrong about this but here goes:
This grotesque bill, see link below, was passed on Thursday. I didn't listen to talk radio on Friday but I suspect it wasn't mentioned by Rush, Hannity or Levin. I could be wrong.
My guess is our talk radio pundits won't touch it. The fix is in. THe Pink Hand touches all, even Jim Demint. Cowards.

Rush hasn’t actually used the WORD but he has been calling homosexuality the “800 lb. gorilla” in the corner of the athletic sex scandals.

Congrats on making it to the finish line. You’re about to re-enter a world you think you know, but be careful, there’s a whole bunch of crazy people out here. It took me a couple of years and a major heart attack to get adjusted to a world where more people are concerned about the latest version of their fav cell phone than are about the future of the country.
If you have a habit of taking immediate action whenever you come across a wrong situation, you might want to keep your hands in your pockets. There’s just so many totally stupid people out here who walk around and seem to DEMAND that you take the time from your busy day to give them a little wall-to-wall counselling. Some days, it’s very hard to say no.
On a brighter note, you’ll be able to make some plans that you can’t now, like long term home improvements, fixing up a place for the grand kids to play, well before there are any, planting some fruit trees and being there to harvest the fruit. All in all if you’re a happy person now, you will still be one out here. Best wishes from one vet to another.

I suspect that passage of this was a part of backroom quid pro quo in exchange for a conscience clause giving military chaplains the right to refuse to perform same-sex marriages.
