Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co., is railing against bashing the rich.

Dimon was responding Wednesday to a question at an investor conference about the hostile political environment towards banks.

"Acting like everyone who's been successful is bad and that everyone who is rich is bad — I just don't get it," said Dimon at the conference, which was organized by Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

Dimon said he's worked on Wall Street for much of his life and contributed his fair share.

"Most of us wage earners are paying 39.6 percent in taxes and add in another 12 percent in New York state and city taxes and we're paying 50 percent of our income in taxes," Dimon said in defense of his fellow Wall Street bankers.

Psst...the Bush tax cuts reduced the maximum Federal bracket to 35%.

However, the total of NYS and NYC tax is 12.65%.

When you deduct you state and city tax on your Federal return, you actual Federal rate becomes 30.57%

While I may agree with his position, Jamie Dimon is not the person I want being the spokesman for it.

Exactly. He's one of the idiots that got Obama elected and continues to support him.

Jamie Dimon legally changed his name from Diamond so as not to draw attention to himself.

I rarely take the Bugatti Veyron out in the daytime anymore.
I know how he feels.

Sure, they're poor, but how do you think I feel? Some days
I just feel like going out into Central Park and shouting obscenities at the poor.

It can be so lonely on top of the one percent. Sigh.

I am so wealthy even Rush Limbaugh admonishes me.

Are you blaming me because my mother slept around well?

The libs like to portray the rich as a static entity, set in place by forces of evil. But they ignore the majority of wealth comes from hard work.

For more than a hundred years, Marxist administrations have consistently “bashed the rich” as a means of generating support among the proletariat; it should come as no surprise that the Obama administration has done the same.

About the last person on the planet I’d want to see as a spokesman in favor of free enterprise. I guess Warren Jeffs wasn’t around to give a talk on the virtues of marital fidelity?
