Boston Herald ^ | December 8, 2011 | Joe Battenfeld

Democrat Elizabeth Warren has opened up a lead against Republican incumbent Scott Brown for the first time in their U.S. Senate showdown, but a barrage of attack ads appears to have damaged Warren and Brown’s standing among Massachusetts voters, a new University of Massachusetts at Lowell/Boston Herald poll shows.

Only if drunk fat Teddy could see a wombat like Warren leading, he'd drink to that.

Brown gave us Frank Dodd and gays in the military. On Howie Carr’s show I heard him say he wants to ‘fix’ Obamacare, not replace it. He also weasels on amnesty. Yes, he’s better than Warren would be, but, as they say, give the electorate a choice between a democrat and a democrat and they’ll pick the democrat every time.

Scott Brown, for all sense and purposes, is equivalent to a Democrat. We should not support him. In fact, we should support his opponents in the primary.

I think whatever conservative support Brown had during his first election has pretty much dissipated. I know I won’t be sending money and couldn’t care less what happens to him.

If he has any.

Remember, this is Massachusetts, the home of Barney Frank and Gerry Studds. Be thankful it's losing a seat in the redistricting. Be thankful Masshole influence will be reduced! Be thankful for small favors.

May god damn the Commonwealth!

What Scott Brown needs to do if he wants to get re-elected is shrug off all the stupid “tea party” types who energized the conservative base and got him elected to the seat once held by Ted Kennedy. He needs to “go liberal” and join liberal Republicans like Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Mark Kirk, and Lisa Murkowski and support taxpayer-funded abortion, the sodomization of the US military through repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, and vote for the Democrat “jobs bill”. Then he has to oppose budget cuts that might “hurt the poor”.

Oh wait.... Brown already DID all that stuff?
Nevermind.

Congratulations, Senator-elect Warren.

You are aware that Warren is basically calling for the end of Capitalism. She is not just another Lib Rat. She is a straight up Marxist. Brown being a Rat and this broad being a Marxist, I will pick Brown.

Gee. A fence-sitting Republican isn’t doing well. Whoda thunk?

I guess Mass voters realize they may as well vote for Warren instead of settling for Warren-light.

This is an issue for Massachusetts voters, and they’ve been voting liberals into office for decades. In a democracy, people get the government they deserve - if the people of Massachusetts deserve Elizabeth Warren, then good luck to them.

You nailed it. Perfectly.
The people who enthusiastically supported Brown under the misconception that he was (mostly) conservative have been played for suckers. And now they couldn't care less what happens to him.

It’s a poll of registered voters — not likely voters. Virtually everyone with a driver’s license is a registered voter, so this just tells me that people who can’t be bothered to vote like the Democrat.

Just 505 voters and a University poll to boot. The freeper who mentioned all people with drivers licenses are automatically registered is correct so the value of reg voters versus likely voters in this case is extreme.

Color me unimpressed.

Problem is, she`ll be America`s problem as well. Her poison won`t be confined to Assachussetts.

So far, I`m not seeing a GOP majority in the Senate after 2012. They have to win four seats and the ones they should be winning by large margins are either tossups or leaning dem.

“We should not support him. In fact, we should support his opponents in the primary”

Speak for yourself.

Brown is an “R” in the tally column that determines control of the Senate and Committee assignments.

A vote for Warren is a vote for the continued jovial Senate leadership of Harry Reid. Will that help our next GOP president? Not.

I voted for him before. I guess I would vote for him over Warren.

But i gave him money before. I will not give him money again.

He is nothing more than a hack. He is an opportunist and caters to the “mob.”

I don’t like him.

Those were mostly women FReepers - based on looks and the fact that he was NOT A KENNEDY Democrat;)

‘Hope’ used to spring eternal until Obama perverted the word.

I have no sympathy for him. I voted for him once but will not do so again. If he’s the nominee, I’m leaving the office blank.

I think it’s likely he’ll win re-election but it will be without my help. I’ve had it with him.
