Prime Minister Vladimir Putin blasted U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday for encouraging and supporting the election protesters and warned of a wider Russian crackdown on unrest.
By describing Russia's parliamentary election as rigged, Putin said Clinton "gave a signal" to his opponents.

Millions of $$$ are transferred from Arab oil states to politicians like the Clintons with the implicit guarantee that Islamic Interests will be pursued.
This is the same old story - the rich and privileged think they are above the frey and can excape the inevitable blood bath of moslem wars. Clinton is doing her job - destabilizing the islamic world and promoting global anarchy for the purpose of greasing the skids for islamic takeovers everywhere - including the clueless USA.
I still don't get what how, robbing and driving a productive people into abject poverty and chaos is a path to ....power?
Or is this the result of going to these Arab countries and seeing their royalty living and drinking from silver cups and walking on floors of gold?
Greed and envy? And the attendant evils to keep people in check? Verses...well, verses a free and productive people? It just doens't make sense to me and may very well be it has to do with the way I was raised and how I choose to live my life.
And it certainly doesn't fit with the left's own vision of the redistribution they are fighting for?
The left's vision of redistribution was created by left-wing politicians for greed, not altruism. The want to redistribute wealth because they'll be the ones handling the money.
I thought it was all Bush’s fault.
so much for the reset button these idiots thought they would have.
Clinton ,bozo Ayers etc are all behind these protests in the middle east and would nto surprise me if they were behind this.
hit that reset button again.
You misinterpreted, PM Putin. Clinton was tapping her shoe for other reasons. A certain red-headed lady off to your left...?
Anyone know much about Russian politics. I always assumed the “democracy” was a sham, but Putin getting less than 50% doesn’t smell like a rigged election.
According to Wiki, Islam is only 6% of Russia’s population so I don’t know why you think Islamist takeover has anything to do with this or why Russia would be vulnerable to it? If anything, Russia is becoming Christian. I think you are comparing apples to oranges.

If, if these accusations are true 2012 will truly be an interesting election year. We're going up against a regime that has for all intents and purposes been changing the world. Not for the better, but in country after country raw, real, dramatic changes.
If they can do these things ...who is to day they have not already tampered with the GOP nominations. Sure we say certain candidates scare them, but will it really matter which candidate wins if what they are orchestrating abroad is fully brought home to America?
At some point one has to sit back and admire the tactics of the enemy in order to beat them at their own game. I think we may be way behind the eight ball on this.
Actually Russia is a huge supporter of Iran...
So you think Clinton is sparking the anti-Putin movement because Putin is supplying Iran? Or do you think there is another reason? Or do you not think she is behind it at all?
Not What Putin Planned
The United States needs Russias cooperation on a host of issues, most notably Iran, and the Obama administration made the right decision to try to reset the relationship. But that cant mean giving Mr. Putins authoritarian ways a pass. So it was good to hear Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton express serious concerns that the voting was neither free nor fair.

FM meets Putin in surprise meeting in Moscow
Russian arms sales to Syria during the current violence and unrest there could have consequences unwanted by anyone, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin during a surprise meeting in Moscow on Wednesday.
Lieberman traveled to Moscow from Lithuania, where he took part in a conference of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

Putin made nuclear proposal to Iran
Russian President Vladimir Putin made an unspecified proposal about Irans nuclear program at a private meeting with the countrys supreme leader during a brief trip to Tehran, Irans state news agency said Wednesday.
Russian officials could not immediately be reached to verify the report and the Iranian news agency provided no details on what Putin had proposed.
The main reason for Putins visit to Iran was to convey this message personally to the ultimate power in Iran, one official said.

At this point I need a dance card...I can’t keep all this straight other than it appears to me we’re trying to win the Middle East before Russia does.
Putin’s opposition are all-leftists.
Moscow is facing a communist uprising.
The World has turned upside down.
US State Dept is sparking&praising communist takeover of Russia and Russian government is cornered and bitching about it.
Just a few decades ago one could think you are insane if you ever could joke like that.
Isn’t the world fun?
When I first joined FR...and a “conspiracy” thing would come up we’d get people saying “No way,” and “it can’t happen here.”
Wonder if they still think like that?

MOSCOW Tens of thousands of Muslim men knelt shoulder-to-shoulder in prayer on the freezing streets of Moscow on Sunday to celebrate the religious holiday of Eid al-Adha. Estimates of the number of Muslims living or working in the Russian capital run from 2 million to as high as 5 million, but the city only has a few mosques.
The ones in Moscow are the problem. Just like in the USA, they take control of the government by sheer numbers.
