"Senate Republicans on Tuesday filibustered the nomination of Caitlin Halligan to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, blocking a nominee tapped last year by President Obama to serve on one of the countrys most powerful courts," Felicia Sonmez of The Washington Post reports.
An appeal was made yesterday in Gun Rights Examiner for gun owners to contact their senators and oppose confirmation based on the nominee's anti-gun track record. At the time the report was filed, Gun Owners of America had put out an alert requesting this action. Later in the day, the National Rifle Association released a letter it had sent to the Senate opposing Halligan.

We learn that "all 53 members of the Democratic caucus" voted to end debate, including the supposedly "pro-gun Democrats." Joining them was Alaska Republican Lisa Murkowski. Republican Orrin Hatch did not join the filibuster and voted "Present."

Why do they insist on calling Murkowski a Republican ? She lost the party nomination and broke election laws to “win” as a write-in, which has allowed her to morph into an outright leftist.
Republican Orrin Hatch did not join the filibuster and voted “Present.”
