Our Endorsement For President (AFSCME endorses Obama)
AFSCME email ^ | 12-6-11 | AFSCME

Posted on 12/09/2011 1:50:44 PM PST by wac3rd

AFSCME’s International Executive Board voted this week to endorse President Barack Obama for a second term. The vote was unanimous. The board acted after a substantial majority of AFSCME members indicated in a large telephone poll that they wanted the union to endorse the president. President Obama is the only candidate for president who is fighting to put people back to work, make the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share and protect vital public services.

Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich (snip) want to privatize your job.

They have targeted the modest pension you earn after a career of public service, falsely claiming that pensions are a major part of the budget problems facing communities across the country. They are dangerously wrong.

In recent months, Romney travelled to Ohio to support Gov. John Kasich’s outrageous attempt to destroy the rights of workers in the Buckeye State. Gingrich is even worse. He calls for the firing of union janitors in our schools. He would replace them with poor children working at low pay. (snip)

Make no mistake, these men are not conservatives. They are radical ideologues. We must not allow them to implement their fundamentally flawed agenda.

President Obama believes in pulling together to find real solutions to our problems. He is standing up to the top 1 percent and fighting to get America moving again.

(snip)

Will you fight to protect your job and our country’s future? Can we count on you to join this historic effort to reelect President Obama?

We know you will make a difference. Thanks for everything you are doing to protect America’s vital public services.

(snip)

Marxism on the march. The unions are parasitic, overpaid political machines to keep Democrats in power and the poor a permanent voting bloc.

I used to belong to this union. They make SEIU look like a Sunday School class.

Not really. Actually, the one thing they probably agree on is that they simply want to eliminate your job, since it only exists to provide the Rats with a built in voting bloc.

The second largest expense any municipality has is it’s pension liability. The town of Bridgewater has five FIVE retired Fire Chiefs who retired after their highest three paid years.

It’s going to get VERY ugly when Zero loses this election. Assuming we have one.

My water & sewer bill is an example of Marxism on the march.

I used $16.95 worth of water these past two months. My bill is nearly $200.00. Why?

Because of fees for “using” the water, sewer, and storm water runnoff system plus the $37 fee for garbage pickup (I have enough garbage for pickup only once every three weeks). The sewer service and fees only is over $100.

This bill is an example of the public getting screwed by local governments.

WTF? I didn't see the ROFLMAO after this statement.

I don't want to privatize your job. I want to eliminate most of them! Then I want the rest to take a 30% pay cut. Then I want a constitutional amendment making it unlawful for government employees to be part of a collective bargaining union. When I'm done, YOU'LL want to privatize your job!

Let's be clear on what I am hoping for.

A Labor Union endorses a Democrat.

I have the same reaction Bill Murray did in Stripes when John Candy said.....”You might have noticed I got a slight weight problem”

Murray: “Noooooooo”.

Those who owe their livelihood to sucking away at the public teat will always endorse socialism - but only because there isn’t a full blown, card carrying communist in the race.

ROFL

This is HUGH

Unions are way-overpaid, way over-staffed, and are a money-funneling DNC-controlled/funded/bought operation.

(CPUSA) The Marxist organizations in America have been gaining ground for years via Political Correctness for starters. Obama is a Marxist regardless what the talking heads say especially the learned Bill O'Reilly...afraid to say the truth - it is embarrassing to watch this Fox Icon waltz around that fact. Is it any wonder why Fox News is losing ground in the ratings? The Unions are for Jobs and Justice? Social Justice and Union Jobs...follow the money.
